Fallon Smith
FALLON SMITH was not re-upped by NBC Sports Bay Area; I'm just heartbroken --and so is this guy.

*Per usual, the right wing radio echo machine was just outraged over Michelle Wolf's slapdown of Trump, the GOP, Sarah Sanders Huckabee in particular. at the White House Correspondents Dinner Saturday night.

Of course, yeah, Wolf pushed the envelope --what were they expecting? "The Up With People" brigade? Please, gimme a break.

By the way, Wolf nailed it. Lenny Bruce was high-fiving from his grave.

Michelle Wolf and Sarah Huckabee Sanders
As for the WHCD folks who chose Wolf, maybe next time do a little vetting if you care so much about reaction.

*Rush Limbaugh said the whole Wolf episode was not dignified --yeah Rush, a potential leader of the free world screwing porn stars and bragging about grabbing women's pussy is just fine and dandy.

How dignified.

*Back to the banality of the Bay Area where the because of a scheduling conflict with the Warriors on Tuesday night, the A's game on 95.7 The Game will be broadcast via Morse code.

Related image*Ken Wayne technically left KTVU but give a big assist to Andre Senior; (put two and two together) this is not unusual at KTVU; think Mark Curtis and Dave Clark. Tough business.

Wayne would be given more sympathy from this corner over his situation but he's headed for KRON with a huge chip on his shoulder and it's not good to play coy with a certain media blogger who's always liked Wayne's work.

*If I had a million to blow I'd hire Michelle Wolf to do fifteen minutes on KNBR.

HH and her friends at KTVU
*Heather Holmes knows where all the bodies are buried in Jack London Square therefore will be on the desk until probably 2024 at least. Happy late Birthday, Heth.

*Maybe the combination of a hushed-up affair by a prominent anchor combined with the just announced contract extension of a veteran sports anchor has built up a wall at Channel 2.

Seems the working masses are pissed off at said sports guy because he gets his way no matter what and has a habit of spewing gossip with co-workers.

Maybe it's time to install some more cameras.

*If Heather keeps losing more weight she's liable to approach Karen Carpenter territory.

Please, more cheeseburgers, less tofu and have a chocolate shake on me.

*One thing I would like to get out is that I don't, for a second, regret writing about my own angst and transgressions; it's called being honest. Yes, it's sort of self-aggrandizing in another direction but since my life is an open book anyway I have nothing to hide. At least I don't hide behind a laptop and tell guys in distress, "call me 'anytime and I'm there for you."

Sure thing.

Jessica Castro
*Stock down. Way down: KGO AM anchor/reporter, Jessica Castro. Probably destined for Bakersfield.

Don't always assume looks will get you on the road to LA or NY.

*It doesn't look good for Mike Shumann in case you care.

THIS JUST IN: The Atlantic's big shot EIC, Bay Area guy, Tim Kawakami, just BLOCKED himself!

Twitter is aghast.

Is it true or false that guys at the Atlanta have been seen running to the bank when they get their check?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Maybe why the direct deposit route was unavailable at the time.

By the way, Kawakami is a smart, dedicated, passionate, compelling writer with a soft spot for compassion. How do I know?

He told me.

*KTVU environment, I've said in the past, is like a experience working in "The Firm" only there is no happy ending and Gregg Kelly ain't no Tom Cruise and Chris Nohr is no Jeanne Triplehorn.

    6. Typical liberal nimrod too stupid to realize how brainwashed they've become. Carrot Top's ogre sister is the shining example of modern feminism; Marxist drivel disguised as enlightened thought, like an abortion joke that goes over like a lead balloon even among the seditious media whores hoping to laugh.

    7. @5:59 your top babe singers and actresses, behind the makeup and handlers, are usually dumb as shit. Queen B anyone? Chicken of the sea? You can have your women with an IQ of 12. Too funny.

BTW: There are MANY conservatives who have never liked Trump. In the masses, and in high-profile powerful positions. Their hostilities toward 45 have been relatively latent to this point, but they may end up being the undermining factor in a likely Trump downfall.

Pity about Jessica Castro. Cute enough, though I prefer checking out Alexis Smith's legs in the long shot on the couch right before GMA comes on.

  7. As time went on Jessica Castro’s head got bigger than the sailboat she likes to sail on with her man. Reality check is definitely needed ...

  8. Thanks for getting back to me on the Twitter, Rich. I care about the Shu situation and until I hear otherwise I think he's getting a raw deal. When are we going to hear his side? Is he being left twisting right now?

    And Jessica Castro is hot.

  9. What's going on with Schumann??

I want to support the guy but if it was a "misunderstanding" as he claims, it would have been cleared up in 2 minutes...The fact that it is dragging on and Schumann has remained pretty much dead silent tells you everything.

Get somebody else and let's move on. The guy is a friggin embarrassment.

As for what it means, Bach was recently let go by NBCSBA, and is therefore available.

  12. What's up with KNBR and KGO's signal? They used to boom north into Oregon, and now you can barely get it north of Vacaville. Stations in Salt Lake and L.A. come in crystal clear though.
Really odd about KNBR - figure they don't have much of a network of stations because 680 used to boom and they didn't want to share the revenue - now? Not so much.

    1. They need to hire more of Brian Copelands family members to fix this situation.

    2. The KGO signal is also real weak into Socal. Been that way for months. The should go to Radio Shack and get some of that antenna contact cleaner for $1.99.

Or just vacuum out the rats nest at the transmitter.

    3. KNBR fizzles out between Petaluma & Santa Rosa. It wasn't always like that!

  13. I hate to see any person lose their job, but her speaking voice was just to much to take. She was probably hired because of her looks and figure. They overlooked the voice. Unfortunately the viewer base couldn't get past it and it probably showed in the rating. I wouldn't watch because of her voice.

  14. Michelle Wolf was brutal but as honest as the day is long. All he lying by Sanders and Trump is insane. Btw, you Cons give Trump a free pass for his nasty attacks on women, minorities, handicap, etc. Trump and his goofy, slimy administration will give comedians work for years.

  16. I was a couple of years ahead of Tim growing up here in Burlingame. He was a very good student and athlete, but he was also an extremely arrogant. He really thought his S didn't sink. But in all fairness to Tim, he does, I think, a great job reporting on our Bay Area sport teams.

  17. Glad Ken Wayne is staying in the Bay Area to work as Main News Anchor for KRON but this is another major departure for KTVU in terms of losing another quality veteran anchor/reporter. Just in the past 3 years Channel 2 has lost David Stevenson, Eric Rasmussen, Ken Pritchard, John Sasaki & now Ken Wayne. Rich-Keep up the Great Work! Cary SF
