At about a little before 7 PM West Coast Time, about 300 still photographers, 10 or so video cameras will be focused on #7, that's Colin Kaepernich for those of you just back from Pluto. What will happen next, probably, is the playing of the National Anthem direct from San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium.
And then presumably, to make sure the story is good, Kaepernick will stop standing, head to the bench and order a Subway Sandwich. No, just kidding.
Kaepernick will sit and be booed by roughly 60,000 fans and the Walmart crowd from El Cajon. KPIX is televising the game --advertised to begin @ 6: 59 so the anthem, which is usually never shown, will be heard and viewed.
KPIX is hoping for theatrics. I heard several guys in San Diego are dressing up as General Patton and hope to make it to the 49ers bench if Kap follows through...security will be tight, I bet.
Then it's kickoff.
