Lee Rodgers last broadcast on KSCO Rich Lieberman Show Jan. 24

Lee Rodgers passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013.

Little did I know that his appearance on my show just a week earlier would be his last broadcast on air.

Here is the link to that show.

RIP Lee.

  2. I listen to KCBS probably more than any other station, but I also check in on KGO from time to time. I didn't hear word-one mentioned at either location about Lee Rodgers' passing.

Maybe it was there only briefly and I missed it, but if it wasn't, it's a sad commentary that the local media outlets wouldn't have made at least a brief comment about the passing of someone who was as active in local radio for as long as Lee was.

I never agreed much with Lee's politics, but I did listen to him from time to time, and came to respect him as a good humored, well educated, well spoken air talent.

    RIP Lee.

    1. Gil Gross mentioned it during his show on THursday. That's where I first heard it. And he gave a paragraph or so summing up his work.

    2. Very strange, nothing in the Chronicle either.

  3. Very sad Rich. I missed the original show but I will catch the rebroadcast. He was one of the greats -- and I will miss him.

  4. Not strange that the Chron blacked out the story....like the Soviet Union media. Opposition and dissent simply doesn't existing in the mind of the Left. Rodgers was defined out of existence. But an obscure nobody with an audience of 15 people will get a front page obit in the Chronic....as long as they have the correct politics.
