  2. Sad watching CNN with lots of reports from reporters in front of burning houses and buildings in the background. Now Caitlin Collins just interviewed a homeowner in Pacific Palisades who battled the fire with his daughter to protect his house late last night to as long as he could today until no water and with absolutely no help from fire fighters of any agency except for 2 water air drops from planes that never returned. Their whole neighborhood is gone. Where is this massive fire defense preparation that was supposed to be ready/close? What I see on the news channels shows a total lack of resources, know how (e.g. pumping water to hydrants), and any sense of saturating areas with fire fighters and their equipment. The guy in charge of CalFire (supposedly the backup for the City of LA) earlier today around noon as I recall said he was not aware of any water shortages for hydrants. I think the media and us should appreciate the fire fighters as we do but the whole management of fires in the State needs an overhaul from the top people in charge. It is a hard job I know I could not do but I expect the best from our tax dollars to protect us.

  3. The mounting accounts of criminal malfeasance emerging from these fires in L.A. is beyond belief. From the Governor, Mayor and all of the elected democratic officials that contributed to this travesty. The Democratic party officially sealed its fate. They're done.

  4. I listened to the same thing for three days. Ditto Rich. Veteran anchors, reporters, editors producers and writers. You could hear the wind howling and sirens wailing.Live news conferences, and up to date information. Totally relevant traffic and weathert reports. Only thing missing was a plane. Grounded by Audacy at all stations. Thanks. It's what an all news station is supposed to sound like during a major breaking story.

  5. Still think DEI is a good thing? Toss another log on the fire. LAFD recently created its 1st DEI Bureau. Assistant Chief Kristine Larson rakes in $399,000+ by leading this bureau.

Her job? Root out bigoted firefighters. She's a black lesbian. You can't make this shit up! Who needs water in the hydrants?
