Wednesday Odds and Ends;; Joe Starkey Interview Purview; Bloomberg Exits...

  1. Losing Bloomberg is a huge blow to me. They had a great morning to afternoon lineup with excellent news and reporters. I actually learned something from them every day, and it always made my drive time really fun and interesting. Yes, they have an APP but the local announcers will be gone and fired. What a shame.

    1. 960 was my favorite station too but their ten year agreement was up and that lousy reach that barely went to San Jose was pathetic. Sad day.

  2. Lets See...WCBS (Audacy) in NY drops news and goes to syndicated ESPN. Bloomberg vacates 960, an LMA I think, Perhaps KCBS (Audacy) will replace it's pathetic COMMERCIAL-PALOOZA with Bloomberg. Just a thought. Save a lot of money on staff that way.

  3. 2 Jews talking about their favorite Deli. Just what I wanted to hear.

  4. My question for Joe Starkey (Ringo’s Brother)
Will the salaries, and easy transfer rules, of College football players ruin the college game? Should we watch only SEC games, the D-League of the NFL?
From my view, I think the direction of college football is all downhill. USC was paying player over 85 years ago, but college athletes making millions should be unable to be given scholarships.
When all is said and done, it is all about selling beer, after all.

  5. Ed Baxter and Greg Jarrett found shelter at Bloomberg 960 AM KNEW after the implosion of KGO Newstalk 810. Will they be let go after Bloomberg 960 terminates on Oct 1?
