He's an emotional Italian man, so I think the crying was real. He has stronger ties to the Raiders/A's than the Niners/Giants. If you compare his Raiders and Niners work, the Raiders calls sounded raw and authentic, while the Niners calls sound rehearsed and animated.
He’s a very odd guy. The day his mom died he did his show saying “he wanted to talk about the Warriors.” Huh? He was in her house and did the show from there the same day she died! Who does that? Showed more “emotion” towards As leaving.
People grieve differently and at different times. It comes in waves. As a frequent listener of Papa/Lund, I can tell you that he has choked up more than once talking about his late mother.

DeleteAt one time when Greg Papa did the show on 1050 it was quite good.If KNBR would get of Lund the show would be much better.
