I think you meant the Wine & Cheese crowd of Marin County - Berkeley is more Indian food, Matcha, and Bagels.
When KRASNY was on KQED he often discussed current affairs. Mina Kim gets to local issues quite frequently. If Alex Madrigal is still doing an hour, it’d be a good reason to pass. His hand-wringing and sighs remind me of an ailing old Aunt Betsy. At one time KQED was a good listen, but it devolved into subject matter appreciated by 1-2% of the Greater Bay Area. No longer cerebral, just emotional dreck.
