Rich, KCBS Sadly has been reduced to this smoldering trash heap we now have. The humane thing would be to put it down, but I don't have Kristi Noem on speed-dial. The On-Air sycophants gasping and slobbering like deranged curs dry-humping its masters leg ad nauseam are intolerable.
Rich : Matt Bigler, Doug Sovern and Brett Burkhart were all called in. They had Brian Goebell interview the poly sci head at Sonoma State to replace the night replay of In Depth. Face the Nation was dumped. They did many interviews and analysis throughout the day and early evening. Ms. Seelig and two.of her managers were there directing all this. I know the word "leadership" is an oxymoron when it comes to Ms. Seelig, but in this case she provided it. I could see them winning awards for their coverage
Rich may disagree with me regarding KCBS, but I still like the station. I've been listening for 3 decades and the content it provides is adequate for my needs.
@5:52 I agree with you, KCBS may not be the same, but it remains on my pushbutton shortcut. (So does knbr, but with great caution. Murphy, Copes, Tolbert, Lund, make me jump to turn off the channel.)
I listen to KCBS when I need weather and/or traffic. I know I will get the info in 10 minutes or less.
@3:34 "I listen to KCBS when I need weather and/or traffic. I know I will get the info in 10 minutes or less."
Exactly!
Back in the late 90s, I worked the night shift so I missed out on all the televised sports. On my drive back from work, I would listen to KCBS to hear all the sports scores and a quick breakdown of the major news stories while I was at work. It was the best thing available at the time(before smartphones). I don't work the night shift anymore, but still listen to catch the top stories and get the weather/traffic on the 8. It's been 3 decades and I'll continue to listen until they're off the air.

ReplyDeleteI thought Melanie Morgan’s hubby (forgot his name but rumored to be a boozer) was fixing that place a few years ago?
ReplyDeleteJack Swanson. And yes, it would probably take a few drinks under one's belt to marry that woman.
DeleteMelanie is ok to look at, or at least once was
