  1. Listened to KCBS Raquel Maria Dillon on Mayor Thao news conference, for an "professional" reporter so many "ah's" "eh's", so hard to listen to her

    1. I heard her reporting on the Point Fire last week and it was the same. I thought she was just having a bad day, but apparently not. That she got a job in Bay Area news radio tells me everything I need to know about the state of things here

  2. So everything is terrible. Rich, please go back to your imaginary alternative world where everything is so wonderful.

  3. Well after that inspirational 20 minutes, all I needed was a Xanax and shot of bourbon to get back to "depressed"! Come on Rich! If everything was that great, we wouldn't have let it go. Sure, there are things I miss from the 60's and beyond, but really ... I don't want to go back there. It wasn't that great for a lot of people. Ask the more mature women who come to your site. I'm sure they'd agree with me. Sure the pace is fast, and sometimes we have to just take an off ramp for a little R&R. But, this is a really exciting time to be alive! Sure it's little scary sometimes. Anything exciting always is! Life is about change and adpating to that change. The media is changing and it is never going back to whatever it was for better or worse. The job now is to attempt to make it the best it can be going forward and attempt to make sure people and not the technology stay in charge.

  4. I worked with Narsai for a long time. He had his good days and his bad days.
One thing you never did was mention Gene Burns in his presence. Boy would he get bent out of shape. Narsai got so furious once, he called Gene a cripple.

  5. Zoe Mintz is the new KPIX weekend morning meteorologist. Now no more of Paul Heggen & Darren Peck pre-recording virtual weather for weekends early evening. She comes from KRQE.

No change to anybody else. The weekend morning weather is standard both days & it’s finally nice to see someone live on weekend mornings. She joined on 6/22 & something tells me she may be a morning fill in instead of Darren but never say never, Darren may be filling in during the mornings at anytime too.

Tuesday afternoon Zoe was covering virtual 3D weather on the Noon newscast. She seems to be a very good & energetic meteorologist. Maybe a little too energetic like the former Mabrisa Rodriguez.

    1. Rich, I will give you time but please cover Zoe Mintz if you can. She is completely a Midwestern from Chicago with a heavy midwestern accent.

She filled in Friday morning instead of Darren Peck & Darren was there at 3PM and there was no Primetime & Paul Heggen was there as usual. Paul happened to be in on the CBS Evening News speaking for the third time with Margaret Brennan and did great explaining about the heat. He wore a suit & tie for the national section of CBS evening news while at 5PM went to his awful Friday attire - jeans & Spring blazer.
