Jon Miller has a ton of leverage since mgmt hasn't been able to find capable replacements. Realistically, Kruk/Kuip/Miller will all be retiring in the next few years and Flem is likely to take a network job at much higher pay. FP is on-air because they haven't found a better alternative. Hunter Pence is full of personality off-air, but is surprisingly dull on-air. I think the only good broadcaster of the newer bunch is Javy Lopez. He keeps getting better. Shawn Estes is probably someone they should consider moving from the studio to the broadcast booth, but they'll still need to find some capable replacements soon.
I know your comment was made in jest, but as ridiculous as it may sound, either Jenny Cavnar or Kate Scott would be a significant improvement over FP—leaps and bounds better, in fact. That’s how atrocious he is.
Why not they can have the notority of having the worst TV NBA announcer Scott .and Hire Bob Fitzgerald and have the second worst in poll of basketball announcers. Could not be any worse than what they have now. All unlistenable except for Flemming.

FP is a handsome guy. That's probably why the Giants keep him on. TV is a visual medium and he's easy on the eyes.
