Oh for Fu’s Sake, I tune in KNBR to hear Papa and hear AC. Click. KNBR is quickly losing listeners - one big reason is chatty Copes. The dude has no idea that his opinion is of Zero import to those of us who follow sports. Just Go Away Copey !!
Regarding the nicknames, I completely agree, especially when it comes to Susan Slusser. I could imagine her gasping every time Papa addresses her as Suss or Susie. Regarding Papa's interviews, I like most of them. Today's interview with Hunter Pence was very good.
On a side note, KNBR and KCBS are both on the FM dial as well. There's usually less frequency interference on the FM dial, and it's convenient for people without AM access.
Dopey Kopes should NOT be the Program Director and he sure as hell shouldn't be on the air anymore. He encourages the on-air (lack of) "talent" to interview racist Glen Kuiper. Shut it down! Let's go home!
Papa - mid-life crisis you say? “Pop” is in his early 60s and like Lund, not much younger, acts like he is in his early 20s with constant annoying interjected sophomoric soliloquies. Almost as trashy as Tolbert and Copes with their sex robot Harmony innuendos as both shows vie for reaching the bottom of the gutter. Beyond dreck at KNBR.
I gave up on our local radio shows ten years ago. There are SO many much better national radio shows on ESPN, its podcasts...plus Rome, Dan Patrick, LeBatard...that I always switch around on my phone apps (and via bluetooth connection to my car's radio or my computers at home or at work).
You’ll love this. Apparently someone at Knbr hasn’t been flushing the toilet after they go #2 in the men’s rest room. It’s happened three times in the past month that one of has gone in and been greeted with an unflushed bowl.
Not sure who the culprit is these days but when FP Santangelo worked here he was notorious for tearing it up. We all knew the bathroom was off limits for a good 30 minutes whenever we saw him walk in.
I hate to be a buzzkill here but keep in mind that KNBR shares the second floor of their building with three other, unrelated tenants. The restrooms that KNBR employees use are in the shared corridors that all of the other tenants use. So, a Knbr employee walking into the restroom and seeing an ‘unflushed bowl’ could indeed be the work of a colleague, or of another tenant.
Rich Lieberman, shout out to you for supporting KNBR.
ReplyDeleteYour welcome Adam Copeland! Hope you have a job come football season. You suck as a PD & shouldn't be on the air! Daddy's boy!

Papa didn't need Dopey Copes today.
ReplyDeleteI tuned in to Tolbert/Copes after Monday's Giants game to see if they are as bad as Rich says they are. He is wrong. They are worse.
ReplyDeletelol

ReplyDeleteOnly one person less talented than Copey, his dad!
ReplyDeleteWhy do you keep calling him Greg 'Papa'? If you're going to refer to him, at least have the decency to refer to him by his real name, Greg PooPoo.

ReplyDeleteIt is only matter of time when Tolbert gets canned.
ReplyDeleteIf those shows are so good then how come the local station they are on gets a blutarsky rating? zero point zero?

Delete@8:19am - Is it watery or fully formed? Your answer will help narrow down the suspects.
