Yes! Showing the love for Pat McCormick and Dialing for Dollars and of course Bay Area Favs "Charley & Humphrey". Triva: The Raider t-shirt Humphrey Hambone wears was a gift from Sonny Barger! Google it youngsters and carpet baggers. LOL! Thanks Rich!
The days of TV, Radio, Newspapers, are fading fast. Heaven help us, as they give us a glimpse of the scene behind the curtains. Nowadays what is pure opinion passes for “news”. One entire network bloviates 24-7/365. Pure BS. Yet millions take it as Gospel. Apparently critical thinking is no longer part of life’s curriculum. Sad. As you went through the list of past luminaries, I know of what you speak Rich. Folks did their jobs well, those who mailed it in were culled quickly. Where has the pride gone?
Thanks Rich for this walk down memory lane your right Van Amburg, Jerry Jensen, Pete Giddings and John O'Reilly were the cats meow during the mid 70s such huge ratings. TV and Radio was the thing in the 70s. Great impression of Andy Rooney we were gathered around the lap top at the ballpark and had a good laugh on that one. We miss working with you from back in the day. Keep up the great work.
I remember Charley & Humphrey show back in the 70s, A few weeks me and my sister found some old VCR/U-Matic tapes of that show that one of the family recorded off air. Brings back memories!
So-called past luminaries would be today's garbage that people complain about if they had lived in an age where news is instantly available and people didn't have to wait for the 5:00 news. Get over it.
Thanks for falling into the cheap trap - you are an easy mark. Then again, the rot on RealFakeNews appeals to those who cannot think for themselves. Send your Money TODAY !!
Nothing wrong with the Good Old Days. These are some of my favorite segments.
