Appreciating KTLA --Too Bad the Bay Area/SF Lags Way Behind; Sam Rubin a...

  1. I didn't watch your post because your premise is flawed right from the start! You cannot compare LA and SF Bay operations because Socal has budgets that exceed what Norcal stations could ever dream of having available to them. Many local anchor and reporter positions in LA pay more than the networks! When you have money, you can have more talent and equipment to get the job done. It's why the best talent is usually trying to get to LA or NYC. The Bay Area certainly isn't the "Bush Leagues", but you have to know the playing field. Stop being so naive and get your head out of the clouds. It's always about the money!

  4. KTLA benefits from competent management, unlike KRON. Reports suggest that KRON’s General Manager may be one of the least effective leaders in television station history. His overly critical approach, disdain for San Francisco, and tendencies toward excessive paranoia contribute to a toxic work environment. Additionally, encouraging mediocre performance reviews as a precautionary measure for potential terminations is indicative of poor leadership and reflects a harmful workplace culture.
