Kruk/Kuip don't travel anymore and Miller's probably close to retiring. Fleming will probably get a full time gig with one of the big sports networks, so the regular crew will be non-existent in the near future. That's probably why Glen Kuiper is around this year.
Miller should call it a day. Krukow and Kuiper should take their own advice and grab some pine. Flemming deserves better than this. Baseball continues to go down hill and the momentum is growing. When's football season???
This guy Ratso or Rizzo is AWFUL. If Miller won’t do some of the road games, he should retire. And this BS about Fleming being “ on assignment” doesn’t fly. If he doesn’t want to work full time for the Giants, then he should leave..You’re right about Joe Ritzo. AWFUL! A minor league single A announcer. doing Major League Baseball? The Giants Larry Baer always brags about some of its announcers, past and present being so top level. But putting Ritzo and that joke , the overgrown teenager FP Santangelo on the air. PATHETIC! Ritzo sounds like a teenager who should be doing high school baseball. Embarrassing that a storied franchise treats its fans to a crappy broadcast team in radio. Shane on Larry Baer! BTW, the TV schmucks doing that minor league, lame duck team across the bay now have some woman named Jenny Canvar doing play by play. She sounds like Amy G. with her whining, high teenage girl voice. Nothing wrong with having a woman on the air for crying out loud, get someone with a decent voice like a Doris Burke, or a Pam Oliver. But that’s John Fisher for you. They’re probably paying this gal peanuts, which is what they pay their players.
Kuiper is on this road trip so at least there's one veteran voice. Flemming is doing the Masters so he'll be back in a few days. I don't mind Javi Lopez, I think he's good with Kuip.
I'm looking forward to when Kopey Kopes fills in and giggles like a fan girl. FP Santangelo sucks as a color commentator. Why doesn't KNBR move on from him? Ask Will Clark or Eric Byrnes if they'd like to step in. Dave Fleming does this throughout the year covering golf, basketball & college football. Get rid of him too!
FP Santangelo has no business being on the radio. He is as dumb as a rock, maybe a few are smarter than he. You are 100% correct Rich, the rookie team is as weak as wet cardboard. Kuiper and Miller were on, I believe - they are superb, but Rizzo-Santangelo are abysmal. Not worth a listen.
