Monday Media; KCBS Mildew Again

21 comments:

  1. Somebody needs to investigate PG&E.
They are totally "milking-it" as far as power restoration.
    Example...
A residential subdivision in Daly City
    That has power lines "Underground"
Has been offline for over 24 hours.
    Serramonte & Westborough subdivisions.
Your HIGH rates & NO service as your entire freezer refrigerator spoils.
But they got all the apps, notifications, website, data & NO workers fixing it.

    I smell (shit)gas. Call 911

    1. Thankfully I have seen 76,437 PG&E commercials telling me they are working. Not sure why they would advertise if they were really that busy, we would see them working. So, we pay them to self promote - and raise our rates accordingly.

    2. PG&E’s sad commercials are nothing more than buzzword bingo, where they try to cram as many meaningless buzzwords and talking points, as many times as possible, into a 15-30 second commercial.

Next time you see one of their commercials I dare you to take a shot each time they use one of the following words:
      -safe
      -reliable
      -renewable
      -affordable
      -community
      -family

You’d have easily taken 9 shots before the midway point of the commercial.

  2. My co anchor finally commented about my odor. I guess it was too much for them to take. They said I smell like ‘BuDiSsy,’ which they said is a mix of butt, dick and pussy. lol

    2. It’s not BuDiSsy or mildew.

      It’s milDooDoo.

    3. Talk about a trip down memory lane. I haven’t heard the word BuDiSsy since college, or perhaps even high school. Regardless, it’s a word that’s applicable to most Bay Area tv stations and their so-called anchors and reporters.

  4. KCBS isn't mildew. They're BuDiSsy. If you don't know what it means sound it out and figure it out.

  5. Rich: why would KCBS go commercial free? It was a significant storm, but it wasn’t a major disaster. It was mostly a weather and traffic event which is one of KCBS’ strong suits. How many times are you going to tell people who can’t hear you that their power is out? And yes budgets are an issue. Over 500 local journalists lost their jobs last week! What happens when you run short of funds, you stop reporting. You start asking us for funds. Funding is always the bottom line. Can KCBS do better, of course it can. It could also disappear and no one would replace it (see KGO). You won’t post this because it doesn’t fit your narrative. Times are tough. The great news is the projections show a little light at the end of the tunnel. One last thing, stop comparing everything to last century. Things are NEVER going back there again … EVER no matter how much you howl at the moon.

  6. Wow! KTVU was on their game tonight. Julie Haener was reporting on the recovery of the body of the pilot from the Half Moon Bay single engine plane crash. However, they had the Super Bowl 58 graphic up with the Niners and Chiefs logo. They then proceed to zoom and move the camera in on Julie to hide the graphic. What a joke! This would have never happened with Dennis Richmond. Do Better!

    1. Julie showed up to work? Why?

    2. Rich, is 9:31 correct? If so, sounds like something is up. There’s no way Haener would go to work unless there’s something afoot.

  7. So, they need to find some other weather expert to talk to that doesn’t start every sentence with, “So …”

  8. I'm sure there be mildew all over your homeless SRO bed.

  9. Just so you know about Haener. She works only because she wants to be on tv. She wants that tv persona. She has ZERO interest in the stories she covers. And she certainly doesn’t need the money. She just likes being a celebrity. She’s the EXACT opposite of Frank who worked because he cared. In fact that was his downfall. He cared too much. How do I know. I worked with both of them for years. I saw how hard Frank worked. I saw how little Julie worked. Frank had his demons. But he worked harder than ANYOBD else in that newsroom. He’s the reason why ktvu is no longer number one. He was the only one who had the courage to speak up about gabby petito. And it cost him his job. I for one will always admire him. Sadly I will never admire people like Julie who only want to be a celebrity.

    1. Yep, Heener (as I called her, even to her face) is a prissy and vile clown machine who thinks she's all that and a bag of chips.

    2. It’s not coincidence that her colleagues (on AND off air) avoid her like the plague when they see run into her at the station. I know this because I used to work there and those I keep in touch with tell me nothing has changed.

  10. Sadly, KCBS is sounding more and more like.a station in
Stockton or Modesto. They are supposed to be the TOP news radio
Operation on the west coSt. as someone who worked there during the transition from CBS radio to Entercom/ Audacy, I can tell you firsthand how far the station fell, and how quickly the descent was. Morale plummeted with several of the veterans who had been there for many years were either bought out, or decided to retire and replaced either by inexperienced, eager Beaver “newbies.” Most of these virtual rookies were also paid peanuts and offered crappy benefits.
They also hired a mediocre producer to be their News Director at about the same time, and this ditzy woman is waaay over her head.,
