About the Interview...And More

  1. Rich, this sounds very interesting. There has been no coverage that I have seen of his family, I mean his father and brother. What's the deal with their racism that Frank wrote about in his comments on the 17th? What kind of people are they and why is there so much of a problem with them for Frank. Frank seems like such a decent guy who is nice to everyone, how could they have a problem with him?

  2. 10:42, deflecting some? Are you suggesting investigate if the dad and brother are clan members instead of the abusive drunk who came to his elderly dad’s house to force his way on what is displayed on their mantle? Investigative services for elder abuse probably is in order and a restraining order no matter the family views which you assume must be based on race. Maybe the dad was not supportive of adopted children sad though that is. With Somerville it is always the race card though.

  3. This is Frank. My family has a problem with me because they never accepted my daughter because she doesn’t look like them. That’s just the bottom line. The only person who accepted callie was my mom because she had a pure heart. All of this anger and my arrests stems from me trying to find out why they have callie. And 8 months later I still don’t because they refuse to tell me. I’m just a dad standing up for his daughter. Nothing more.

  5. Doesn't Frank's father run a local foundation in Oakland that deals almost exclusively with funding Oakland public schools and social service agencies? If I remember right, he funds mostly minorities.

    1. Yes. My dad has done some wonderful things. Absolutely. That’s why the way he and my brother have treated my daughter is so stunning to me. I just can’t figure it out. And they REFUSE to tell me.

  6. Ask Frank what he thinks of Mike Miboch’s performance as his replacement at the lead anchor position.

    1. How about asking him what he thinks about Mibach’s peculiar hairstyle and pants that are four inches too short? Oh, and his strange constipated smirk. And while you’re at it, inquire about the double standard when it comes to weight gain among male versus female anchors. Greg Lee looks like he’s about to burst if he eats one more super burrito. He must have aspirations to be a sumo wrestler. In the meantime, we get to watch him do his best impression of Augustus Gloop from ‘Willy Wonka.’

    2. This is Frank. Do you just recycle old comments over and over?

    3. Frank, i've noticed the same....repeating of the same, stale comments that aren't funny, relevant, or even remotely interesting.

  7. Anyone here watch Like it or Not? I see the commercials for it but it’s on at 11:30pm, after I go to bed.

    1. Yeah, I watched it once. Don’t worry, you’re not missing anything. It’s terrible. Basically 30 minutes of four irrelevant has-beens embarrassing themselves blabbering on about nonsense.

  8. The Soros-Audacy report is not just a rumor. Soros is willing to spend $400 million to help ease the bankruptcy. This is subject court approval.

  9. None of my business I know but maybe your youngest/adopted daughter got the most attention from you given your many posts about her seemingly more so than the other children causing a family rift. That would have nothing to do with the color of her skin then although unfortunately for her they resent her instead of or including you.

    1. Your adopted daughter is in college now and your Instagram and Facebook profile (cover) photos for each show you two in the same shot? How weird is that? Is that normal for a dad to have their college-age daughter in their profile shot? My daughter would have freaked out and made me take it down.

  10. Frank, I wish you well and hope your recovery continues to take you on a healthy path. It is saddening to see you stalled out and still reading and contributing to blogs. Why not volunteer and help others, with zero self- directed attention/praise that you seem to pursue? You need to stop worrying about your image. Just focus on yourself and use your great career as a launching pad to reaching new goals. Take care.

  11. This is Not Frank, I am a grown man. I have the skills and abilities to make a comfortable living. I am human, not perfect. I never raised a child, nor wrote a book, nor built a house. Plato would think me a failure, but I think a good education makes you a well rounded person. I guess being self taught counts for something.

  12. Don’t be nervous. You can do it.

    1. Rich, just take deep breaths and try to relax. We all know you'll be nervous conducting your first interview and that's to be expected. Good luck!

  13. Don’t go after family in the interview, especially young daughters. That’s a red line you should not cross. Totally off limits. If I were frank and you brought up my daughter or father I’d walk right out.

  14. I'm not frank either. Just wanted to enter that into the record.

  15. Rich you should have more high profile people to come by and interview even the ones who dislike or hate you it would still be great interviews. That list of 200 women who signed a petition against you should have some of them on. Having Frank on was great work.

  16. If that is really Frank, why in hell is he on here airing his dirty laundry to anonymous strangers? On second thought, it explains a lot...

  17. Frank - my dad was adopted and wasn't ever fully accepted by his greater family. He died a few years before his mother - he was her only child - and at her memorial service there was only one Pic of him with my grandmother, one of me, and one of my stepcousin (my grandmother's late husband's granddaughter). My cousin (grandmother's niece) arranged over a dozen pics of her family on the entry table instead. It was so hurtful. I'm sorry you and your daughter are experiencing this. My $.02 - family is who we choose to surround ourselves with and make the commitment to stand with no matter what. Blood unfortunately means nothing.
