That Tiny Studio at the old KGO-TV Building was Pretty Big Actually

IN REAL TV STUDIO LOOK, it was small. Even by studio standards.

The main Circle7 studio at the old KGO guard at 277 Golden Gate --hell yeah, it was tiny--but it was so much BIGGER in real life.

It was the scene of some of Channel 7's most popular personalities; the anchors like Van Amburg, Jerry Jensen, Pete Giddings, John O'Reilly, made their mark there in that tiny abode.

  1. The old KGO TV news staff was SO much better the Dreck that KGO embarrassingly calls a ‘news staff.’
More like a bunch of ‘ Ron Bailie School of Broadcasting’ graduates!

  2. Speaking of days of yore Rich, I think a segment here about the first tv studio in San Francisco would be interesting. Green Street, at the base of Telegraph Hill, where modern television was invented, by inventor Philo Farnsworth.

  5. It's never the studio, or the set, or the makeup, or the clothing that makes a news operation great.
