Mark Neerman --KPIX News Director, has been SHOWN THE DOOR.
I don't have the dirty lowdown just yet, but PIX's LOUSY, terrible ratings sure didn't help Neerman's cause.
Neerman has been at the forefront of a CBS O and O that has been UNDER-PERFORMIMG for years and the eye network was more than merely annoyed at his lack of direction and abysmal run. There's a lot going on at 855 Battery and now Neerman is out of a job.
Was it his Face?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he's more than 20 years old, but from this photo it doesn't look like it.
DeleteTHAT'S why when I drove by their building tonight people were dancing out front!
ReplyDeleteIf you're a newly hired anchor, should you be nervous?
ReplyDeleteShe is orange and can't pronounce local city names. she'll be fine, VIS SAL E A.. oh vey
Delete11:25,
DeleteI've watched TV news for many decades, and her makeup disaster this morning was the worst I've ever seen.
So Neerman succeeded Dan Rosenheim, who was ND for 18 years!!! Neerman didn't last 4. Methinks the CBS suits are losing patience.
ReplyDeleteEveryone at KPIX is on notice now when and if there will be a replacement for news director...
ReplyDeleteCommenting on his appearance, are we in third grade here folks? Give me a break.
ReplyDeleteHey 5:53 am -- Third graders would probably have better news sense than prune face.
DeleteI hope just one TV news station in the bay area steps up and gets back to basics. Right now all the bay area TV news stations are a shit show including KCBS Radio.
ReplyDeleteAs long as nothing happens to Liz Cook....
ReplyDeleteIs his father Alfred E. Neuman?
ReplyDeleteChrist this guy looks like Jeff Dunham's puppet Bubba J.!
ReplyDeleteThe photo of this guy is the perfect example of what is wrong with TV news. Yes, I am being a bit judgmental based on looks but the guy looks like a corporate dweeb. PIX ratings have been in the dumps for years, long before Neerman.
ReplyDeleteIs there anyone ever that looked more like a "Mark Neerman" than Mark Neerman?
ReplyDeleteKen Bastita must be shaking.
ReplyDeleteThe new guy, Ryan, is walking right into a crapshow of a Newsroom!!!
ReplyDeleteWe readers of Rich's blog can't help that the fired PIX ND resembles a MAD cousin and has a surname that sounds like little kids horsing around (as in "neener neener neerman"). The numbers speak loud.
ReplyDeleteAnd believe it or not, so did Allen Martin, as if a gorilla climbed off of his back. Cook, Glenn, Heggen noticed that right away.
I used to work at PIX, left during the pandemic. I can tell you that none of Neerman’s on air hires or decisions ever made sense to anyone. He has a small market mentality and drove our station into the ground.
ReplyDeletePoor guy lost his job, and his chin.
ReplyDeleteSaw the guy's photo and immediately figured that Rich got the name wrong. His name has to be Nerlman.
