HE'S ABOUT TO HAVE A BIG DECISION ON HIS PLATE
Look, I go hot and cold on Brian Hackney --some days I think he's quite good; other times I still get the feeling he thinks he's the smartest guy inn the world. He may be. He could also be a blithering idiot. Who knows, who cares?
PIX people, the biggest suits, who are thought to want to (rumor) move Hackney to a more "prominent" position during the week. Whether that's an anchor (news) gig or weather job, no one knows.
I do.

If Hackney is primed to take over for someone still away from the news desk, that is why his ND and CBS5 managers are prepared to offer him Monday-Friday. Only he (Hackney) is a lot more comfortable on Saturday and Sunday.
Ah, decisions, decisions.
He's the best person on KPIX and I'd love to see him more often, but he's not going to appeal to the viewers who are fans of Veronica de la Cruz, if that's what you're implying.

DeleteWe could come here to comment, but Rich only runs about two stories a day. SFGate has dozens of stories a day on a wide variety of topics. And their comment section had a thumbs up/down button

DeleteA lot of papers are dumping comments or limiting them to subscribers. I think it might be part of the privacy act thing.
