The 'New' and Worst, Latest Morning Show Program on All-Sports 95.7 FM Still Sucks --Pass The Seltzer

95.7 The Game (@957thegame) | Twitter

SO I REALLY DID TRY TO LISTEN, I DID, SO HELP ME GOD...

I try to be fair; I want someday to be proven wrong; Yeah, so much for that.

I listened to a smidgen of the new (latest) morning show on the all-sorts FM 95.7 'The Game'--I idn't have to listen after twenty minutes to know what I already assumed: this latest iteration of a long, sad story is even worse now.

Unlistenable. Putrid. A total disaster. A train wreck. An audio triple colonoscopy --only the colonoscopy is less hurting.

If you like to hear manufactured bullshit and screaming and yelling, then listen to this bullshit.

If you want to hear a bunch of yahoos try, wait, TRY, to sound "shocking" for shock appeal, listen to this travesty.

It is the same, tired, OLD, nonsensical BS. It is a cornucopia of crappola. A bunch of non-interesting people trying to, appealing really, to get attention for attention's sake. When you YELL and SCREAM and there's very little or NO anything to scream about, then you have the "new" morning show on The Game.

To borrow a cliché, "There's no there, there."

The vanilla wafer "independent" woman on the show who was hired because she's a gay woman and not exactly a sports person is as about as exciting as week-old melba toast only melba toast has more buzz.

Joe The Butcher guy tries like hell to be funny. He's about 25% on target. That's the only positive thing I can say about this disaster.

In 6 months, I predict this will be gone and they'll be trying a new show, their 10, 445th attempt to try something new and fresh.

Excuse me while I throw up.

Throwing up bile: Causes and treatments

  1. Your assertion that being a gay woman is a plus in the world of sportstalk radio....is just silly

  2. Rich, your radio inexperience shows up when you are so quick to be critical of new shows so quickly. Multi-person shows don't jell in one week. It can take six months to a year for a show to find itself. You're asking three people who have never worked together before to instantly be a fine tuned machine. It doesn't work that way!
Your quick criticism of the KGO morning show is another example of not understanding what it takes for a show to establish itself. A show has to be tweaked and tuned in order to find its place in the market. If that is not happening, the majority of the blame needs to be directed at management not the talent.
I do not know Kate Scott, but I am offended by your assertion that she has been hired only because of her sexual orientation. Scott has worked hard to establish a national presence and has been become recognized as fine play-by-play broadcaster. You may not care for her style and that's fine. But, please stop with the "she got hired because she is a lesbian". She earns her opportunities. This business doesn't give away continuous chances. If she wasn't talented, she would not still be working in this market or nationally.

    1. So, what's your point other than being an apologist for Scott. She's BORING, doesn't say anything. I'll say this: she uses her PC points to get jobs and she gets hired, I'll give her credit for that.

As for your statements about my radio "inexperience" I worked in radio for over 10 years. I got several gigs, I'm happy with what I did, what I accomplished. I don't need yours/anyone's affirmation for myself --I'm happy no matter what.

Another thing, at least I have the balls to not HIDE like you with your insulting words, it's so brave of you to HIDE behind your computer.

      You're a coward. Goodbye.

  3. Kate Scott has no talent. There are many other women who could kick her ass 24/7/365. She's just in the right place at the right time. Call it luck. Has nothing to do with her sexual orientation. She just sucks.

  4. I could convert her.

  5. Thanks for the warning, Rich. I'll pass.

  6. It is a horrible show, right out of the gate. 3 boring dudes.

Thank God Bonta is not on the mid-day show. He ruined the rhythm of the only good thing on 95.7. Dibbly sucks less, and at least can stay out of the way.

  7. No Relief It Is. Doesn't matter if it's the Alka Seltzer kid or Yoda saying it. No sports team wants to touch this station.

  8. I think the new morning show on 95.7 is not all that bad. Will it take some time to get used to? Sure, but I think they have good chemistry.

One thing I will say is that this show might be better in another timeslot. It feels like a show that should be on in the 10-2 timeslot, or maybe even the 2-6 timeslot. Will be interesting to see how long they last in the morning timeslot before changes are made and they're moved to another timeslot.

But overall, so far so good. We have to give it time, as 4:14 alluted to.

  9. The chemistry isn't there. Kate has become the moderator. I thought Bonta was the lead. Shasky is unlistenable. Nice job, radio bosses.

  10. As the great genius Howard Stern has shown, hot lesbians equal ratings. Even for the radio. 95.7 forgot about the hot part.

  11. Hey Rich. How about a show with Kate Scott and Bonnie Jill?

    1. That would work. That would combine the hot with lesbians. Just two different chicks. Where is Bonnie Jill these days?

    2. Kate and BJ . . . well, between them they'll have the downstairs covered.

  12. Why can't we have one good morning show. Hate to say it but even bland national shows are better.

  13. Isn't Bonta the guy who yells about everything?
