WHEN I LEARNED that Kristen Welker was the moderator for the last presidential debate, I did a high-five with a friend. I've always admired Welker, the NBC White House correspondent who will try her best to navigate the craziness that is tonight.
I was fortunate to meet Welker a few years ago. She visited the Bay Area and spoke to a group of advertisers for the NBC Network group. I snuck my head in and was fortunate enough to get a quick hello and Welker was very kind and gracious.
She's from Philly. She's Black. She's very smart and gorgeous too.. Her reporting is vigorous and tenacious. Hell, working in Washington as a national correspondent in a largely man's world is tough enough. Welker, I'm sure, will make an extreme effort to be fair and accurate tonight, that much I can say. Obviously, a lot of people will watch her and her interaction toward the president. If Trump were smart (I'm not so sure) he'd be advised to back off attacking Welker, whom he's already vilified.
Whatever the case, she'll do just fine, she's a pro. Watch her.
Black and a woman. Trump is going to hate her before she speaks even a word.
ReplyDeleteI can't tell the difference between you and Chip Franklin anymore.
ReplyDeleteI did a high-five with a friend when Kat Dennings topless photos leaked a few years back.
ReplyDeleteIt's already a set up. She isn't going to ask about the Economy or Foreign Policy. Huh. Wonder why. DJT is going to win by a LANDSLIDE. You heard it here... Mark my words.
ReplyDeleteUpdate: Liberal morons look up Tony Bobulinski (Democrat) GAME OVER.
This pick is about as bad as the screename of that Ron Jeremy guy that comments on this blog.
ReplyDelete"Adult film star Ron Jeremy has been charged with sexual violence against 13 more women, including a 15-year old, prosecutors in Los Angeles say."
Such a great idol for that Democrat apologist.
Anyone who’s ever dealt with Welker knows she’s an activist, not a reporter. The White House press team views her the same way they would AOC or Pelosi if they walked in the office.
ReplyDeleteIn March 2016 Welker was busted on live television tipping off Hillary Clinton’s Communications Director Jennifer Palmieri about at least one question she planned to ask her during a post-debate interview in Michigan. At the time Clinton was locked in a fierce fight for the Democratic nomination against Sen. Bernie Sanders. “I’m going to ask you about Flint,” Welker said of the Michigan city’s infamous water crisis.
Welker comes from an established Democratic family — who have poured cash into party coffers, and to Trump opponents, for years. Her mother, Julie Welker, a prominent real estate broker in Philadelphia, and father, Harvey Welker, a consulting engineer, have donated tens of thousands of dollars to Democratic candidates and close to $20,000 to Barack Obama alone. There was also $3,300 for Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign and $2,100 for Hillary Clinton’s doomed 2016 presidential effort against Trump. Another $7,300 was contributed to the Democratic National Committee between 2004 and 2020. In 2012, Welker and her family celebrated Christmas at the White House with the Obamas.
Just like the last debate "moderator" for Trump, Savannah Guthrie, (whose husband was Vice President Al Gore’s traveling chief of staff), and Joe Biden's "moderator" (communications director for Bill Clinton), I'm sure they have no bias whatsoever. No, nooone. The whole process is a joke.
They should get someone from Fox to moderate the debate, you know, to put Trump at ease. Oh wait, they did that. Never-mind.
DeleteShe did a fine job.
