KUDOS TO KGO: Rothmann and The Democratic Convention score big Monday Night.
I listened and watched the opening night of the Democratic Convention. It wasn't the same despite some nice speeches by First Lady, Michelle Obama and Bernie Sanders.
Flipped over CNN, Fox News Channel and MSNBC.
Listened to the John Rothmann show on KGO --terrific coverage and analysis by Rothmann interspersed with calls and live feed from the convention.
I was surprised, frankly, that KGO committed to such extensive coverage, not that I object; to the contrary. It was great and enlightening, albeit weird, to hear the goings-on --I applaud KGO boss, Lee Hammer and Rothmann himself for a very solid Monday Night.
KGO is also giving equal coverage next week when the GOP convention convenes.
Yawn...I'd rather hear about the LASER fund or those supplements again.

ReplyDeleteKGO is so far left of MSNBC and CNN. How can a station be balanced when every host drinks from the same pond. Try sending opposing view text messages to the hosts, see how many get read on air.

ReplyDeleteKGO is not left of MSNBC or CNN, John Rothmann, takes several calls a night from people that disagree with him and are right wing and many Trump supporters. Anyway it is a talk station they don't have to be fair and balanced. How fair and balanced is KSFO? Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh rarely take calls from anyone that disagree with them, and Levin gets very rude if he does, as does Michael Savage. Sean Hannity use to take call from liberals, don't know if he still does, have not listened to him for a long time, when he did he would ridicule and talk over them.

Is there anyone in politics that rothman doesnt personally know or be related to? Heard him say he knows joe biden personally, he hung out with mitt romney in 1964,knows the entire nixon family..
ReplyDeleteJohn has been in both local and national politics. He is a presidential historian, has written a couple of books, and come from a wealthy well known San Francisco family. His mother was a Haas, as in Levi's and the Haas Lilienthal house, so it stands to reason that he has met and know some fairly well know and well connected people.

DeleteJohn has many loyal followers, even quite a few who disagree with him. He is a talk show host, and he got the job because the is very good at what he does, he knows history and politics, and local issues as well. He can engage the callers, and those who listen to him enjoy his show, Rich is a big fan. You obviously is not, so don't listen, but there is no reason for you to make an assertion that he bought his way in, I doubt you have any proof.
