GOOD GUY RICK QUAN HEADED TO HAWAII --will become ABC affiliate lead anchor on 10 PM Newscast--

First show: February 3rd...

The hardest-working guy in the Bay Area (at least one of them) is headed to Hawaii --all-around good man, Rick Quan has landed the lead anchor gig at the Honolulu ABC affiliate --as its 10 PM news anchor.

That's significant. News anchor.

Quan spent more than two decades here in the Bay Area anchoring sports on KPIX and recently, KGO.

By the way, Circle7 many times passed over the talented Quan to place in underwhelming nothings. It's their loss as much as the Bay Area's.

Here's to Rick Quan and success in the Aloha state and oh yeah, this is for you, Rick.

Aloha!

  2. KGO never wanted him from Day 1 putting him as a fill in. Kind of late and getting too old at his age to find another position being demoted years and years at KGO

    1. Yeah, well he DID find another position (a full time position at that) in Hawaii. God bless him. One of the few decent people left in this sometimes psychotic industry.

    1. The only place Gary Radnich will find himself will be hosting a program at Sports 1140 KHTK in Sacramento.
      Have fun Radnich.
Nobody impersonates a cool White Vato better than you.

  6. Hey, Rich, here's something you might want to ask your spies about at KTVU. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but... I've noticed that Frank and Julie have not been anchoring together for weeks. If Frank is on, it's with another female anchor; if Julie's on, it's with another male.

Again, could be just a coincidence.

    Or not........
