Some of you were sort of misguided over my plug of Catherine Heenan, KRON's old-guard veteran anchors and a stalwart of the old KRON, back in the days when they were legit and not the amateur hour they are today.
Let me elaborate on Heenan. Obviously, we all have different tastes and that's cool. I like Heenan quite a bit. She's not at all boring as one reader lamented. She's more understated, that's all and that's good. You don't have to broadcast a circus when delivering the news and that's not Heenan's style. She's always been modest in a sort of elegant way, the manner in which she broadcasts is solid enough. She doesn't have to yell and scream, she's more than adequate to just read the teleprompter and lets the viewers do the moderating.
In any event, I love your disposition on the screen. She brings back memories of the old KRON; too bad she and Pam Moore were not everyday partners because if so, KRON could at least salvage something exciting and bring a smidgen of their older respect model back to the local news domain but that ain't happening anytime soon and that's too bad.
So glad she gets out from her assisted living facility to stay active.

ReplyDeletePam Moore and Catherine Heenan paired together? Would not work. Heenan does not pair well with other females. Besides, Heenan has never been a main anchor. Must be a reason for that. Yes, we all have different tastes, but tell me something...why does she dress like it is still 1975?

DeleteIn the meantime, Catherine Heenan does a solid job. She talks TO you, not at you. She's not show biz. She's in the biz and gives you what you want in a calm and friendly manner. I suppose you want someone yelling at you because you have a thick skull and have a hard time hearing.
Go back to your comfort zone and watch a zombie movie on your iPad.
My question for you, 1:15 PM is that if she does such a "solid" job why is that job anchoring on a streaming channel? A streaming channel the host of this blog thinks should not even be on the air. Go back to your comfort zone watching granny porn and old broadcasters.

Which is worst? A zombie movie or Catherine Heenan doing the news? I ask you because you seem to be knowledgeable about both. Unlike you I do not have an iPad so I cannot watch streaming news to see your favorite non-personality newscaster.
DeleteYo 4:00 -- She probably doesn't fit the demo they're trying to reach--like they know what that is, not. But then again, that whole station is like watching a college television station anyway. You can go back and watch those mind numbing reality TV shows that you love so much.
ReplyDeleteYo 7:45PM...I do not love or like reality TV show. As usual you are wrong. KRON is weak, but that begs the question of why you do you watch it at all. Your favorite old time anchor does not even have a regular slot on their news shows. So put on your rubber gloves and stick to watching granny on the streaming news feed like the other idiots.
