HOLY CRAP! Dear Emily Turner, KPIX Morning weather yenta: Who the hell dresses you? \Stevie Wonder? And for god's sake, SAY SOMETHING! Spice it up a bit or as the Italian chef says, bring it up a notch. God, what BORING talent and vanilla delivery. A supreme waster.
*I've pretty much ignored him which is how viewers are observing Reggie Aqui, the A-1 class clown at KGO and one MAJOR reason why NO ONE will ever take ABC7 seriously as long as his face clogs the airwaves. Long ago, Aqui was a putz but got away with it with CNN credentials but given CNN today, that should be a detriment not a plus point. Aqui is the epitome of asininity. A major retread with NO discernable feature. Nothing there. Nothing funny or intelligent. A total misfit; a complete DISASTER; a human wrecking-ball machine with all the news savvy of a diseased humming bird.
*Brian Hackney has a loving, loyal fan base. He's moved all over the market with several stints, mostly KRON and now KPIX and for what reason? He's a smarmy, arrogant, prick with NO sense of humor and a personality better fit for the Florida panhandle than SF Bay Area. Hackney should go work for National Geographic where he could pontificate about the elusive pygmy population and its effect on climate change.
*Wendy Tokuda occasionally keeps popping up around 855 Battery --the home of CBS/KPIX; which is good news if you in the public have a habit of flubbing your lines for 33 years and getting away with it.

*Raj Mathai of NBC Bay Area it's OK to look in the mirror and see how cute you are only there's this guy down in LA who's moving near the studios of your lovely San Jose, take a hint, surfer boy.
*Jessica Aguirre, the brunette Diane Sawyer? Look, I think Diane Sawyer is still hot at 70 and I'm willing to take her and Jess to Red's Java House to prove it. Sawyer is buying.

*Julie Haener I thought was more of a conservative, slightly intelligent, housewife from Walnut Creek but apparently Julie is more a Concord fan of Wheel of Fortune. Good, she can invite Bill Martin over for triscuits and Velveeta.

*John Rothmann on KGO Radio, has gone overboard in his desire to take Donald Trump sycophantic calls; it's the same mantra: all old white men, sound uneducated, talk over the host, don't let Rothmann talk and REPEAT the same old Trump/GOP talking points. It's not funny anymore, John. It sounds like the same group of five guys, including "Rob from Richmond" who would back Trump if he shot a blogger in the middle of Market St.
*Supposedly, Papa told a KNBR producer something to the affect of "See, the 49ers needed me, that's why they haven't lost yet." I thought he was joking as did the KNBR guy but no, he was now. What a complete tool.
*Elizabeth Cook of KPIX: just a slight hunch: eyeing LA. And she's not alone. Here's the thing at PIX: if you haven't shot off a resume you're in the vast minority. In Liz Cook's case, she just makes a call to daddy.
*Matier is coy about his PIX bailout to Circle7 but I'm betting itr was all about the money. It usually is.
*The Chronicle is getting more absurd by the day; pretty soon they might just be blogger-status. And those new by-lines, about two newbies every week.
*HERE'S AN IDEA: some technie nerd in SF go down to PG&E's offices on Market and Spear early in the morning and turn their power off. You heard it here first.
*It would require severe creative fortitude if the local TV (or radio) to devore ten minutes or so to PG&E's screwing us all over but nobody is interested --Michael Finney came close. The local TV News people would rather vent on and on about BART's new trains or food recipes.

*Breaking News: it's been five days since John Lund told a dick joke which is forbidden in KNBR parlance.
Lund however, continues to kiss the tuchas of Greg Papa so he's at least kept to his traditions --that's a lot of brown toilet paper by any standards.
*Lund, A. needs to feed the family and, B. doesn't want fear factor of being next host of 'Warriors Outsiders.'
*TRUE STORY: a west-coast reporter from the NY Times visited KRON recently for a story on independents; when leaving the station, the reporter told one of the KRON interns that they needed a station tout sheet, something like that. Intern to NYT reporter: "What's the NY Times?" NOT.A.JOKE.

DeleteI think Kyla's great. Loved her on The Weather Channel because she's smart but also really funny and doesn't cry wolf like so many other weather people. If it's serious stuff she's serious but if the weather is great she's the welcome smile in an otherwise usually dismal news cast. She isn't all broadcaster-y like others, she just talks to you like a normal person.

Ok I know this is a ridiculous reason to watch someone but I'm a woman and I love Kyla's fashion choices. I wish she'd start a fashion blog because everytime she's on I'm like I NEED THAT DRESS! Rich you don't like anybody so non irritating is like a 10 out of 10 from you.

Hey Rich the reason writing about Kyla gets the clicks is because to us weather nerds Weather Channel ladies are kind of weather celebrities. Demented and sad, but true. It's been a loooong time since we got anybody here that didn't hail from the wilds of Salinas or Sacramento. She's sharp and if you'd seen her on TWC where they do the whole 3 hour show you'd dig her more because she's got personality for days.

I like Emily Turner and her lively delivery and pretty clothes. I think Mary Lee dresses with some style and not the usualssleevess, neckless, skin tight red or black sack most on-air females go for. Cheap and easy style. If you want to see something god-awful, check out that Francis Dingsomething person on Jerkle7...a horror show of knobby knees, and varicose, splotchy legs. Whatever happened to stockings? Franny needs to lower the hemline, and by the way, Lisa,"Big-un's" Argent should get a new pair of shoes. She wears the same tired beige high heels all the time.

Deletewhat i have noticed with kgo, and not just rothman's show, is you hear the same callers every day on all the shows, sometimes i have heard the same caller on different shows the same day!! thought there used to be some kind of rule that people couldn't call in that often, maybe kgo is so desperate for callers of any type, they set that aside.. getting back to rothman he needs to invite all of his trump "friends" out to cal mart for lunch where he can enthrall them with with his knowledge of herbert hoover and martin van buren
