THE OTHER DAY while I was done with my skinny dipping, I counted KCBS' Stan Bunger use the phrase, "fog inversion" about 5 times. Which probably makes the case I've been saying all along: Bunger is in fact, not a news anchor, but a real-time radio Clark Kent weatherman. Seriously, I believe Stan has deep dreams about high-pressure systems and fronts coming in from the ocean and wind patterns off the bay and yada yada yada....I think this news thing is just a front and that El-Stano loves being Mr. Marine Layer and who wouldn't?

*Just as I say this all, THIS JUST IN: Susan Leigh Taylor noticed some heavy mist on her windshield on her drive into the station from Pacifica. Leigh Taylor is a Bay Area media treasure; a journalist we can thank for her astute analysis and tremendous observations.

*Chuck Barney of the Mercury News interviews KGO-TV's, Dan Ashley and they get into a pretty damn good, Q and A, until Barney asks Dan about that "Bay Area blogger"--huh? Chuck, I realize your editor has disdain for bloggers, but seriously? Not a mention? Not a peep? My ego doesn't need it but my conscience does, gees, and I thought I had issues.

Megan Goldsby is OK, no need to worry

*It's good to hear Megan Goldsby on the radio because I hadn't heard her at all and I was beginning to worry because she hadn't been on for at least five minutes.

*Ronnnnnn Owens had a very intuitive "Ronnn Owens Report" on Monday, telling Bay Area fans, "How 'bout them Niners!?" That should be worth at least 2 more cruises and manicures for the girlfriend.

BONUS POINTS: John Rothmann's wife just loves him.

*Speaking of Mr. Lowenstein, with John Bolton gone from the Trump cabinet, there goes that avenue. Bolt-on was a Ronnnno favorite because then Ronn could brag he was in fact a Trump proxy.

*Ronn has on Carmen Policy a lot because someone has to keep kissing Eddie D ass.

*KQED, the 17X-a-day home for pledges and coffee mugs and Jack Jones CDs but hey, who's counting? I am. Because every time I ask for donations all hell breaks loose but when KQED, worth about $500M or so, "begs", not a problem. But at least KQED has interesting, invigorating, TONS and TONS of LOCAL PROGRAMMING, right? Ha Hah Ha ha HA!
