Pittsburgh Synagogue Mass Shooting; Bay Area ND Says Potential Incident Here Difficult to Cover; 415 Media Saturday

Image result for Pittsburgh temple shooting PITTSBURGH SYNAGOGUE SHOOTING --Bay Area News Director says covering these events is "abysmal"

Like many of you watching the ongoing situation in Pittsburgh where an unknown gunman has killed at least 8 11 (as of now) injured several others inside a Jewish synagogue.

Reports indicate the shooter shouted several anti-Semitic statements both while engaged in his mass killing and when he was taken into custody...too early now to go into details. We'll know more later.

I JUST got off the phone with a former Bay Area ND who told me he dreads the day when something like this happens in the Bay Area, not necessarily a place of worship, but any so-called soft target like a shopping mall, school, or public place.

"It's not only tough for reporters, (logistic-wise); it's asking the questions early on and trying your best to be civil in a most chaotic situation." "There's a human level. It's truly abysmal."

Especially for the victims.

I'LL be back later tonight for some Saturday postings.

  1. While this sort of thing is nothing new anymore, the tone was set in 2016 and really ramped up after 1/20/17 to condone it.

    1. He was a documented Trump hater and ranted online about the President saying he didn't vote for him. He also believed Trump was controlled by Jews.

Since you're making this about politics, do you feel he was a Hillary or Bernie supporter?

    2. 3:29 PM - You seriously think this guy was a Bernie or Clinton supporter? You're crazy if you believe that. He may not have supported Trump but he was clearly inspired by him.

    3. I feel he was "with her" myself.

  2. Hmmm... didn't trump claim that the biggest threat to our safety was from crazed rapist brown skinned illegals and muslims? This suspect is yet another white guy. The MAGABOMNER was best described in the NY Post as "Caught, Red-hatted".

    1. A documented Trump hater (per numerous online posts and profiles) shoots 11 dead at a Pittsburgh synagogue. He also claims to not have voted for him in the past election. Who do you feel he voted for?

You're coming across as a Trump hater, should I fear you?

    2. Wrong. According to all reputable news sites, the shooter is not "a documented Trump hater" but the opposite, a Trump supporter.

    3. He hates illegals and doesn't like trump, but only because trump is , according to the suspect, "surrounded by Jews".

    4. Midge, please turn off CNN and educate yourself.

"Posts by alleged shooter Robert Bowers show he was obsessed with Jewish conspiracies, while also believing Trump to be a puppet for Jewish interests."

"The shooter who massacred eight people at a synagogue in Pittsburgh earlier today was an anti-Semite who expressed his disdain for Donald Trump, while also commenting, “I did not vote for him.”

"In another post, Bowers said, “Trump is a globalist, not a nationalist,” adding, “There is no MAGA as long as there is a kike infestation.”

The list goes on and on.

    5. The shooter disagreed with Trump on ONE issue, Jews, but otherwise his views skewed extreme right wing. His van was plastered with pro-Trump and pro-Republican stickers. The Manchester Guardian (not CNN) describes him as a "Trump supporter."

    1. How soon everyone seems to forget April 2, 2012. It happened here on that day at Oakland University in Oakland. News operations here are just as well-equipped, if not better, than any other market. Stations are not as well-staffed on the weekends as during the week, but that's the same everywhere.

  4. Another attack on innocent people by a right-wing extremist...they say guns don't kill people, ok, maybe we need to start monitoring the actions/activities of right-wingers...

    1. Wasn't the guy that attacked an innocent field of baseball players with semi-automatic weapons a left wing extremist? I feel we should monitor all actions/activities of left-wingers...

    2. There's far more incidents of right-wingers committing violence against innocent people than left-wingers, that's simply a fact you can't dispute. But I'm sure Hannity will say otherwise, right?

    3. @536...okay,so that's 1 Dem out of 100 mass shooters. You Cons got the other 99.

    4. dear 5:36....psssst...pretty much all modern firearms are "semi-automatic". This fellow today wasn't a trump fan. He said trump was "surrounded by too many Jews". He's from the same cloth as the anti-Semitic white supremacist, torch march from last year. He's not a trump fan, but he's no left winger.

    5. Boy that left wing list of terrorism in America is much longer than the right wing list...

    6. If left wingers could put the bongs down long enough to turn off CNN and Rachel Maddow, they would see there is far more violence in modern America by dumbed down low IQ individuals on left.

On a related note, why do left wingers constantly raid Foot Lockers when they decide to riot and light a city on fire?

    7. 3:04, 7:05 and 9:31 have never heard of Antifa.

I guess AARP doesn't include articles on left wing extremist groups in their magazine.

    8. Antifa is "liberal" or "left-wing?? I thought they were simply anarchists...btw, how many churches or synagogues have they attacked?

    9. Antifa is not liberal or leftwing, but nice try Skippy

  6. Another supporter of the orange thing goes off the rails. We really do need Voter IQ tests instead of Voter ID requirements. So many sick and ignorant right-wing loonies.

    1. I too would like a voter IQ test of the constituents in Maxine Waters district. There obviously must be something in the water or just a massive amount of in-breeding. It's the only thing that would explain why they keep reelecting a low IQ individual to lead them.

    2. So, you don't read much history of the United States, right? Poll taxes and "intelligence" tests for black voters is part of the rich and disgusting history of Jim Crow America. Thanks to a series of US Supreme Court cases, those abhorrent things were rendered unconstitutional. Maxine Waters represents one of the most sophisticated parts of the United States(see Los Angeles map..her CD). Her voters re-elect her because she does a good job advocating for their concerns. You assume, that because she doesn't look like you, that she is "low IQ". Guess what that makes you? Learn something, read some background on the VRA.(Voting Rights Act)

    3. @1127..I'll bet you her district's average IQ is higher than yours and the Dumpster...Can't wait for the Blue Tsunami in 9 days

    4. As much as I think Republicans are dumber than dogpoop, I can assure you there will be no "Blue Tsunami." That won't happen till Democrats stop running candidates who are basically Republicans in slightly more stylish clothes.
