This is all you need to know about KGO master talk goyim, Chip Franklin: the guy puts ketchup on a hot dog and brags about it. What a schmuck.

*Internal strife at KGO ..and that doesn't include the behind-the-scenes mayhem begun by key personnel with a pipeline to Atlanta.

*If Cumulus would have paid Jack Swanson the money they're paying Gen X nitwit, Justin Wittmayer, they could have probably had Jack but Cumulus doesn't know good people if they had one buttoned up direct from Cloud Central.

*Since leaks are in the news, hey KGO, you have something in common with the Trumpster.

*Today might be a bad day at KGO-TV (ABC7) for some of the people without contracts; writers, producers, editors, so expect a whale of a crowd come Happy Hour at Grumpy's. Disney is so unkind in moments like this.

*KNTV (NBC Bay Area) probably knows that Raj Mathai was galloping around 30 Rock last week --up on the 10th floor talking about life and business with someone who has direct access to lots and lots of NBC News folks...who knows, maybe Raj was in town to eat at Nobu but I sort of doubt it.

*KPIX new reporters: vanilla ice cream; melba toast; uncooked Brussel sprouts; velveeta cheese. Herb Caen would have had a field day. Mediocrity rules the day at 855 Battery.

Emily Turner
*Emily Turner: feh. Bland but crunchy.

*Jessica Flores: no bite.

*The big deal at PIX and its been a topic since the beginning of the year: star diva from NY has an open invitation to go back to Gotham and become third-tier anchor at CBS Morning but is concentrating on making it a go in Bay Area largely due to family needs and tranquility; she better hope the new GM is as comfortable with her as is staff because so far her arrival a few years back has not worked out and nobody gives a shit about her NY gravitas.

*If you care, "The View" is looking at taping shows in the city a week in July, and why not? Whoopi has juice at Boulevard and French Laundry; that alone is worth a trip.

*Chip Franklin probably puts mayo on a corned beef too. San Diego birds of a feather...

Whoopi is not welcome in my restaurant. Same goes for Behar. Last time they ate here, they wiped out the buffet table in 10 minutes.

  2. Raj tweeted a photo of himself at a charity fashion show. He had whitest white pants,a mauve shirt with a paisley tie. Man,that's confidence in yourself!

  3. I would always defend Chip here when you went off on him. Two days ago I was listening and he ignorantly talked about how Rachel Madcow was beating everyone in the ratings as if it was because she was so much better than the competition. What he conveniently left out was that she generally would hower around 5th or so for years when O'Reilly and Megan were still at FOX with O'Reilly regularly #1 with at least triple Madcow's ratings. But hey, whatever spin you have to put on it eh Chip?

    1. If he were still down south he would have ripped Madow and praised O'Reilly. He's completely without merit of any kind.

  4. look up ''mish mash'' in the dictionary, and it says, ''appellation referring to radio station KNBR morning show''.

  5. Boy, I thought Disney was about family. Well, maybe when Walt was alive. Now you've got people who judge life by their spreadsheets and how far someone is willing to stick their nose up their supervisor's ass.

  6. Chip tells us today he is #57 in Talkers Magazine. I Looked it up, he's no where to be found on the top 100.

  7. I worked for a defense contractor in Pasadena and it was well known to stay away from there unless you were a fresh business school grad looking to build your resume. If you don't come in on Sunday, don't come in on Monday. That's Disney and has been for many years. We were at Disneyland Hotel for a technical conference about a month ago and it was the same way, fresh grads being wrung out day after day building time and looking for something better. It is NOT a career, place is run like the Army. Go sit in the bar, talk to the help and you'll feel like you're in the Army.
