An Early Christmas Present for the Old KRON People; Thanks For the Memories

Every now and then I watch this and think of the old KRON; that once bastion of great TV News Journalism housed at 1001 Van Ness; what it was then and what it is now.

Some of the faces you will see will bring back fond memories --indeed, Thanks for the Memories.

  1. Ahh.. when being a professional actually meant something. The music alone is enough to mist me up. Seeing Belva, Pete..

Now we have Darya, Radnich.. allow me to expand to Gasia, Keba, VDLC, Zouves etc. etc.

F-you Facebook, Twitter and 'smart (oh the irony) phones'.. you're killing us and several up-n-coming generations of people. Fast, cheap and shallow - it's what we have to look forward to.

    2. Last I saw someone update here they mentioned he has a decent sized apartment portfolio in the city he and his wife manage (read: financially, he is very well off).

And they are helping educate / raise a grandchild?

Would love to hear an update as well.

      What a terrific, true, journalist.

  3. Thanks Rich and Guy Morrison. I had the great pleasure to work at KRON from 1984 to 1990, producing the weather for Mark Thompson. It was great fun, but looking back, Evelyn Taft was more my speed..............

  4. I used to love watching KRON, the NBC Affiliate in SF, it was a great media outlet back in the day. To this day I'll never understand their reasoning for moving the NBC Affiliate to San Jose...Smdh?!
