  1. Early Chicago should have been enough to get them into the Rock HOF. Excellent musicians. Sold out in later years, but the early stuff was pretty damn good. Fused horns with Rock. Great band in their day.

  4. One of the greatest bands ever...and my favorite.

Only the Beach Boys have sold more albums in the US than Chicago.

January 23, 1978...Terry Kath accidently shot and killed himself.

  5. Thanks for the rewind featuring the great Terry Kath, Rich, a life cut far too short (by his own stupidity, if you read his bio). My favorite song, while long, is "It Better End Soon", where Kath's guitar and beautiful deep voice really come through (along with those great horns and a cool flute). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0dj75PgCbo

  6. Kath, Cetera and Lamm....no school like Old School. Hard to believe they will be celebrating their 50th year anniv soon.

Saw them in Concord with Earth Wind and Fire. They combined to do one helluva "I'm a Man" encore....maybe 20 mins.

Saw them in So Lake Tahoe with the Doobies. They got all of our aluminum walkers a'clankin'!

  7. Jimi Hendrix once said Terry Kath was a better guitarist than he was. Too bad his life ended too soon. He would've kept the band from venturing into the slick David Foster West Coast sound of the 80s.
