WRAP-UP: No great mystery here--as the Giants have been playing great baseball and are the talk of Bay Area sports, their ratings with Comcast have increased across the board; pre-game, in-game and post-game.

**I applaud Doug Greenwald and JT Snow for solid work doing substitution work on KNBR Radio Saturday evening, but their handling of the Eugenio Velez scare was pretty shabby.

When Velez was first hit by an errant ball, listeners were unaware of just who was hit. After a few minutes, Greenwald announced it was Velez. Fine.

But after the initial report, both Greenwald and Snow said NOTHING about Velez' condition nor even stated that just as soon as they got a report from the Giants PR brass, via the local Phoenix hospital, that they'd inform listeners.

Incredible.

Obviously, Velez was ok and nothing serious happened, thank goodness, however the lack of information from the radio booth was long on the game goings-on and short on the condition/information of Eugenio Velez.
