CBS Eyes Cheryl Hurd

Cheryl Hurd on Twitter: "Feels good baby. Okay had to say it ...

Cheryl Hurd (seen with 49ers QB, Jimmy G) is an all-time favorite here; Love her work and regard her as network-quality --always. Seems I'm not alone.

CBS News in NY has inquired to Hurd about a possible "super correspondent" position; Hurd would be based in LA and do national reporting.

I'm not sure she wants to leave the Bay Area but she has time to think it over. Black Rock is said to be patient.

They should be.

I'll be watching this one, as always.

  1. This Doesn't surprise me, Hurd is a first class reporter. Actually KNTV (NBC Bay Area) has had the best overall journalists the past several years. Sam Brock, smart, great delivery and goes after a story. Promoted to National NBC reporter and I can see him taking over when Lester Holt retires. Vicky Nguyen, like her or not she is like a doberman on your ankle when it comes to consumer affairs. Also promoted to National reporter. Terry McSweeney, IMO the best anchor around. Delivers the news with some passion but also not afraid to inject some humor or sarcasm when needed. Ashley and Somerville are OK but I can listen to McSweeney all day. The evening news with Aguirre, Mathai and Wang is solid. Reporters in the field pretty solid. The morning crew is above average, not great. They are weak in the weather area, not a fan of Ranieri as only he can inject drama in a 85 degree sunny summer day. We moved out here in 2013 and watched each news for several months and decided KNTV works best for us. All of the above just my opinion of course

  2. Hurd IS excellent; however Rich? I am sizing up Hurd vs. Grapa (oh, he of dating porn starlets old enough to .. show him a few NEW tricks), and I notice that her right-arm, if naturally extended around The Grapa's waist, would put her right hand "firmly" ... and I do mean ... "FIRMLY".. upon his buttocks cheeks (pick one, it's a game...).

Just my too (perverted) sense, I suppose.

  3. Cheryl Hurd is the best field reporter on NBC Bay Are and moving to the network is deserving. KNTV is a very good news station and second only to ABC7, IMHO.
