Even Network Aid Can't Save KPIX

Image result for KPIX CBS

PIX is under severe stress, and it's only getting worse. Staff is leaving in droves and the network which is part of the reason it's attempting to resurrect its 415 outlet, but it won't work. You have ingenuity and progress when there's something there. You can't stave off week-old bread. The meatloaf never tastes good when it's been in the oven for a week. Therefore, KPIX is hopeless. There is no reward for stagnation and utter failure because the folks are knee-deep in despair and forced coddling from Black Rock will no way help matters.

WHEN YOU'RE STRUGGLING AND YOUR CONTENT is crappola, you have to resort to this kind of BS.

I can't help but wonder what CBS in NY thinks of its Bay Area O and O. Wait a minute, I know exactly! For a network to try to stop the bleeding it must be aware of the pitfalls at 855 Battery and it's never pretty. I assume CBS has a plan but I don't think they can carry it off.

  2. Black Rock still has to pay the disgraced couple that ran the Network forever, sadly including the most overwatched and insufferable summer show hosted by the mistress. As long as people continue to watch that dreck each summer, seems like the Network is stuck with the salary albatross that's preventing them from rescuing their Bay Area station and others is similar trouble.

  3. Please say they're not keeping that boring weather guy they have on at night. Who is doing the hiring over there? Get some TALENT already.

  4. KPIX is so TOTALLY ONE-SIDED in its National coverage. KPIX Management must believe that their viewers (and potential viewers) only want to see reports & stories on gays, lesbians, transexuals and the homeless.
Bay Area family for most of our lives ... We lived in SoCal for 10 years .... terrific coverage on local news ....so much of the coverage is via remote reports from reporters ... so much more professional. KPIX Remotes? "Here's a view of Mount Vaca...." Out of here.
