The Unsavory KGO Duo of Larry Beil and Ama Daetz

Image result for Larry Beil Ama DaetzI'M NOT A Larry Beil guy; you already know that. Lately I've been lukewarm to Ama Daetz because she's apparently slacking on the job. It's evident.

Good anchors make average anchors look good. Except in the case of Beil and Daetz. Granted, the KGO duo don't get a lot of viewership at 4 PM but that's no excuse.

Beil is a hopeless prima donna-- a total schmuck. I don't care for bullies and Beil is a bully; a nasty SOB who creates mental terror for the little people at Channel 7. He's a pompous, arrogant, mean-spirited prick with an ego the size of Alaska. He is hated, despised at the KGO offices. He once tried to take Mark Ibanez's job at KTVU and does a lot of shit behind people's back. I'm no fan of Beil. If I saw him in a parking lot alone, I'd tell it to his face and be ready for combat. Beil needs to be educated streetwise.

Ama Daetz seems to be cruising on her gig but why? And her wardrobe is beginning to resemble the returned skirts at a JC Penny outlet in Clovis. Seriously now, Ms. Datez must reset her everything; her looks; her outfits; her reading the teleprompter. It's harsh to be harsh but I'm right. You know it, I know it, Ama knows it too.

There's a positive here: Ama isn't Larry Beil. Unsavory

  1. What is it with sports guys and their egos? They read fuckin' scores, maybe throw in a stupid nickname...wow, brilliant. And someone as goofy looking as Beil should probably just STFU...you can't look like that AND be an asshole and get away with it forever.

  2. I have heard from numerous people he is a jerk. Such a shame. If he left nobody would care.

  4. Leave Ama alone, she is a great reporter and should replace Kristen Sze on all Prime Time News Segment. The best symbol of KGO 7.

  5. She's not one of the "Women are the News" participants. Those that are, know. It's a self imposed discipline which is a pleasure to watch! They have the power and know how to apply it...effectively!

    1. I apologize for the dualizing. I think that happened when my girlfriend saw I was sending "another" woman comment to 415 Media, punch me in the arm and tried to steal my computer! Sometimes I hide in the garage.

      Mabrisa, she's a newbie, she's trying hard...I like her!

  6. I watched Circle7 yesterday, yes Ama is not the same anchor she was before motherhood, sloppy looking. Dan Ashley needs to give his eyes a break, red, tired and saggy. What is with everyone wear the Circle7 lapel pin?

    1. Everybody wears the circle-7 pin in LA also.

  7. Considering Larry's homely simian looking face, it's odd he made it to TV.

  8. Sloppy Ama Daetz just continues to cruise down hill. Sad because she had so much promise. Could this be the influence of the even sloppier Kristen Sze? KGO news is just a disaster on all fronts.

  9. Drama Ama, going the same way as Leslie Griffith. I really can't stand all the sighing and emotion she puts into reading the news. It was cute for a while and someone must have told her to show personality, but I've quit watching her because it's really just too much.

  10. I absolutely disagree with you Rich. I watch the 4 o'clock news religiously. Larry and Ama have great chemistry and their reporters in the field are the best in the business. I tried watching KTVU's 4 o'clock news and it was terrible. Bad story telling, poor reporters. Alex Savidge is a star, but the rest of the broadcast was poor. You are wrong on Larry, Ama and the all star reporting staff!

  11. Never met him, but Beil just looks like the kind of guy you describe. And as for this photo -- isn't everyone sick of social-media photos of news anchors making duck faces (okay, maybe that's Beil's regular face) and pointing at each other, with the photo shot from an odd angle, conveying the idea that these are just a bunch of wacky crazy friends who get together each day to bring you your news?
