KTVU and Fox are talking behind closed doors; makes sense on several fronts because clearly, Bill Martin, seems lost in space.
Here's what the suits are schmoozing about behind the scenes.
*Orozco clearly would love to leave her morning gig and especially the weekend --why?
Maybe this is the major reason, but there's more.
*She's certainly more eye candy for 10 PM but Martin is under contract for at least another year, he could do 6 and she could do 10, or vice versa. That's under consideration.
*She loves the Bay Area but wants more exposure and has LA in her front-view mirror.
I may be in the minority but I like Kayla.

ReplyDeleteIn LA, they wear shorter skirts and higher heels. Check out Maria Quiban at Fox11. Of course it is warmer there. And more competition among the women weather presenters also.

Agreed. She's very good and gets the "personality vs. just the facts" aspect just right. She just can't seem to decide what color she wants her hair to be (look at various videos all over YouTube) and the current choice is very poor, IMHO.
DeleteOrozco is hardly a "fashion plate" -- her too-tight clothes are trashy & her long hair is a style worn by 4th graders. She's a good looking woman who needn't dress like a street walker to attract attention, but that seems to be a job requirement for "weather girls".

ReplyDeleteIt would look like the Chinese phone book. Women mess with their hair constantly. It is unavoidable for them.
Give me content, some window dressing...but play it professionally.
