The above video is not new but it might explain one of the many reasons why Bill Martinmight be on the hot seat at KTVU ...At first I thought Martin was kidding but I now think he was serious; or perhaps lost his mind in the fog.
He sure has lost his mind, surprised he lasted so long. I'm sure the "symmetrical goddess" has driven a lot of men crazy, the good kind of crazy! Yes, she is "extra special."
While I do think Martin often comes across as too casual, he does know what he's talking about, which is more than I can say for some of the other weather personalities out there. I don't mind him, but my spouse can't stand him.
He was indeed differentiating between convection and radiation fog, aka "coastal" and "valley" fog. Anybody who had basic geography in grade school was taught the difference, but this information was likely forgotten by most.
What is this crusade against Bill Martin? He's an actual meteorologist who gives informative reports. Unlike the recent trend of female weather babes who spend more time on their long hair extensions, tight-fitting Ross store polyester dresses, and acting like stewardesses from old TV commercials. He's an old guy with that quirky Pete Giddings style.
Sure he is quirky. But I actually like him, Fox should keep him.
