Lazy Journalism in San Jose; Presentation High Controversy Brings Out Shoddy Reporting; 415 Media Wednesday Report; Warning: Graphic (Audio)

Image result for presentation high school nbc bay area SO HERE'S THE STORY that the Bay Area mainstream media won't pick up and you certainly won't see on KNTV (NBC Bay Area), whose biased reporting has led to hate-filled misogynistic and racist rants and threats against the administration at Presentation High School in San Jose.

We've touched on this issue before but now there's other developments.

The group, "Make Pres Safe," and its attorney have refused to meet with PHS to discuss their claims, many of which are dubious at best--there are no records either verbal or written that the claims were ever made to the school. In fact, they haven't even filed a lawsuit over the allegations from 30 years ago. Instead, they make up stories and post them on online without any proof.

The only place the allegations and claims are made is on the webpage of "Make Press Safe" and their social media accounts. The school says many of the claims were never reported to the school in the first place, raising questions of their authenticity.

Yet, both NBC Bay Area and the San Jose Merc have taken the "Make Pres Safe" claims hook, line and sinker. from the alumni group without ever questioning if the allegations were ever reported in the first place. Talk about lazy journalism.

The misleading and never-heard-of-before claims made by "Make Pres Safe" have led some of its supporters to call the school and leave hate filled, racist messages against the principal and school leaders.

So, here is the result of false and misleading social media posts that wind up in the mainstream media as "news." Cover your ears and turn down the volume as you listen to the most awful rant from a "Make Pres Safe" supporter against Mary Miller, the principal of Presentation High School.

  1. I went to high school with Make Pres Safe's attorney, Robert Allard. Smarmy dickhead then, smarmy dickhead now.

  2. Journalism no longer exists. It's called media - which is a business.

Media is now so desperate that they are exclusively in the business of telling their target demographic what it wants to hear. I see it there. I see it here in the south when I'm on the road. That's just how it is.

In the SF Bay Area, everything seems to be colored by the brutal economic conditions and cost of living. That entire region has become some sort of debt driven real estate pyramid scheme. What will pop the bubble? Interest rate hikes. Everyone's talking about it. My wife and I are very concerned for the social fabric there but all you can do is sit back and wait.

  3. Thanks Rich, this is very enlightening indeed. All this time I was sure that the PHS administration was being coached by the well-financed silencing experts at Bellarmine College Prep in how to stonewall these accusations.

Now I'm not so sure that's the case at all. And BTW, the hypocrite who left that vulgar message has a lot of nerve to state that his group will be praying for anything.

  4. The problem is the Catholic Church is riddled with cover-ups of child molestation, many right here in Santa Clara County. 30 years ago might be a long time ago, but that is right when the convicted pedophile, Bernie Ward, was a teacher at Bellarmine, which is part of the San Jose Diocese, same as Presentation High School. It was a very poorly kept secret back then about his true nature, and that of many of the other Jesuits. At the kernel of this story, there is truth, despite the outlandish behavior of some. The San Jose Diocese answers to one power, and that is who is willing to pay the most to the church. They are, in my opinion, corrupt.

    1. Absolutely, no doubt about it, the RCC is corrupt to the core and has resources beyond our comprehension to wage financial battles and pay out hush money.

Bellarmine has fashioned its administration after that same model. It's tough to find a more corrupt and cronyist operation than what the Jesuits are running there.

    2. Get your facts right: Ward was never convicted as a "pedophile". And you're sounding just like the raving lunatics- to wit- all (or many) Jesuits are really just men who want to have their way with young boys (or girls)...You'd be right at home in Salem, Mass circa 1650 ready to burn, in this case, Catholic educators at the stake.
      The truth be God damned!

    3. Presentation is sanctioned by the diocese but is not part of the diocese. They are run by the Presentation Sisters which is not affiliated with any diocese. Bellarmine is part of the diocese.

    4. Nicole, the mentality of the San Jose Diocese permeates every Catholic School, whether is directly run by them or not. Bishop Patrick J. McGrath is controlled by those families within the Church who are long time movers and shakers in San Jose business and politics, who pay the bills. If you want an example, look at his decision a couple years ago to close down Saint Lawrence High School, unannounced, in the middle of the school year, leaving four hundred students and their families in turmoil. Saint Lawrence was a small school serving students who did not fit into the big school atmosphere, and was always looked down upon by the other high schools, as well as the RCC. The families were more of the blue collar, middle class, variety, rather than the blue blood families at the larger Catholic High Schools. The decision to close Saint Lawrence made by him, and the panic and turmoil caused to the family, was immoral. The RCC hired a PR firm who told them the best thing to do was tell the students first their school was closing, rather than parents, which the principal did at the beginning of a school day, leaving frantic students calling their parents. Regarding what is happening at Presentation, due to the track history of covering up other documented and substantiate molestation involving Catholic schools and Churches in the South Bay, I take the word of the accusers.

  5. Attorney Robert Allard, from Saratoga, and swarmy? No way! Yeah, I went to school with him at SHS. Probably hasn't changed much.

  7. @9:44 Uncle Bernie is a pedophile. From the Chron back when he was convicted, "Ward pleaded guilty in May to distributing child pornography and admitted sending between 15 and 150 pornographic images by e-mail, which he said were part of research for a book." Even the Pope acknowledged the problem of pedophilia in the Church.

    1. YOU may describe him as that but that wasn't what he was convicted for.

  8. A pedophile is an adult who is sexually attracted to children. Bernie Ward admitted to possessing and exchanging child pornography. Bernie Ward, is therefore a pedophile. Anybody that defends a pedophile has a screw loose.

  9. rich, are you claiming that the accusers are all lying?
part of the accusation is that the school did not record or report any statements made at the time, so why would there be a record?
and as this is currently being investigated, why should the accusers or their attys meet with the school?
