BOB IGER wants answers; Monday Flash!

The "Most Powerful Person in Entertainment" wants to know what the heck is going on at his SF TV Station!, reported here, exclusively, by 415 Media.

Disney's Chairman/CEO, Bob Iger is so concerned over the performance of his Bay Area TV station that he has sent a group of "high-level" ABC execs to SF to ask for "performance charts"--supposedly, according to a network source, Iger vocabulary for "individual/company component" interests. It sounds complicated /corporate talk/mish-mash but it means a lot to Bob Iger, apparently. Whatever it means and I think I know. (Details coming)

In fact, it represents a major part of its West Coast TV presence and accounts for about a billion plus, give or take a few hundred mill, for its gross revenue. Iger didn't get to the position he holds because he takes breaks to read Page Six and munch at 21.

Disney's TV Group--the owned and operated (O and O') stations are a MAJOR source of revenue for the company --it's no surprise here that its boss wants to know about what's happening in the city by the bay.

It's not just about money; it's about a lot of things.

So have I.

Stay tuned.

  1. Bob Iger is a lifer at Disney which is an old fashioned top down, buttoned up, march in unison kind of company. Walt wanted it that way. We lived in Los Angeles for about five years and folks who worked at Disney had a saying. If you didn't come in on Sunday, don't come in on Monday.

There's another Disney story I heard very recently. A friend of mine who retired from the defense labs said his father was at the main theme park (during the olden days) when one of the guys running a ride stopped what he thought was a nut in costume trying to crash the gate for seating. Turns out, this was Walt himself in disguise. The guy did nothing wrong and was told he did nothing wrong but had he breached company policy for safety, he was told he would have been fired on the spot. True story...and THAT is the sort of company Disney is and always has been. They don't fuck around.

    1. Dear Tracy,

You inherited a machine that wasn't broken and managed to f-it-up by having your employer sued at least three times ( that we know of ). Morale never particular high at 900 Front is now rock bottom. Mornings, the key demographic for every newsroom is a joke. Remember the movie scene when the agent tells Dustin Hoffman he won't be hired. Well, Tracey this is your Tootsie moment, time to be a soccer mom before you cause more damage.

  4. Memo to the Suits at KGO: Bob Iger doesn't flinch. He is an old school native New Yorker. Enough said.

    2. Not their Marvel comics line. It has been nothing but SJW's and leftist propaganda for quite awhile now. They have run it into the ground with abysmal product which has resulted in abysmal sales. Retailers have been forced out of business and have been complaining for years about the lack of direction and crap that they're putting out. They're making money hand over fist with the Marvel movies but those reflect the old characters and storylines and the books they put out today are nothing similar. Most of the superheroes you see on the big screen and television drawing hundreds of millions of dollars have been changed into black or female characters in the books, Hulk? He is now Korean. Thor? She's a woman. Iron Man? Black woman. Captain America? Black man. The list goes on and on. Series are started and cancelled yearly due to lack of interest and community outrage and yet they never change.

  6. I certainly hope they fire the tards who had RATS on ordinary, law-abiding citizens, monitoring their internet activity. Dan Ashley, Ama Ditz, and the bozo sports reporter from Hawaii. Should be sued, also.
