KGO Radio Nearly Goes Off The Air Because They Can't Find a Board Op

Image result for radio board operator UH, THIS JUST IN...We'll, not really Breaking News, more ominous UPDATE: KGO --the radio station that was KILLED in its legacy iteration almost six years ago courtesy the Cumulus broadcast mob out of Atlanta...is in dire straits.

They're running short, severely short of Board Ops --how severe? They're was a point late last week that the radio station almost couldn't make it on the air because the person that arranges the board ops literally couldn't find a body. It was so bad someone was brought in at the last minute and paid well above the price it pays to hire a board op only that figure is so pathetically low (especially in a city where a fucking place the size of a box you put your dog in is unaffordable) --that the board op/lacking status at KGO is an ongoing joke--how would I know? I've got a field level seat with secret eyes, trust me.

Cumulus obviously has no business running radio stations because any reasonably responsible company would never allow such a disgrace--even present-day, disgraceful KGO--to be in a situation where the damn station could go off the air because they can't find any board ops and they're running out of bodies! Hey, COPIE? How do you feel about this? RONNNNNNNNNN? Ok, so we know you really DON'T GIVE A SHIT about KGO 2017 and are ONLY FINDING A WAY TO GET OUTTA THE HOUSE, But, HEY RONNNN? The fucking company you and COPIE SHILL FOR!! almost went off the air because a fucking board op was NOWHERE TO BE SEEN...and GUESS WHAT?

RONN, COPIE, BEAR!-Man: Fortunately, the mishap took place at night but when it happens eventually on your shift? Oh, Be Jesus --I just can't wait. Preferably it occurs at the beginning of the "R and B Joke Hour."

  1. If it went off the air no one would even know. Can you imagine what the resumes look like over there?

  2. I know most KGO listeners cannot tolerate A & G but this morning they played "best of" for at least two hours before I had to start my day. What's up with that and it's not a holiday?

    1. I wouldn't know if it was live or the best of A&G. Can barely take 5 minutes of these dudes. As interesting as a Modesto strip mall.

    1. That cacklefest is better than the other 21 hours of programming that day or that drivel on KSFO hate radio.

  6. The folks that were supposed to run the boards were probably "on assignment".

  7. IMHO, the only thing worse than the best of A&G is A&G Live....

  8. If you ever tune in to KGO or KSFO and all you hear is a re-broadcast of CNN TV audio on about a 20 second delay... you'll know that there is no operator on duty, and the station is in its' fallback mode. Because that's what the memo from upstairs says to do in that situation. And yes, it has happened already; you just didn't catch it.
