Heavens, I don't know if the Bay Area can deal with this right now. What a truly terrible moment.
To be serious for a change, as most of you know, I've never warmed to Palombo. He made my "Top 15 Most Annoying Media People" in the Bay Area. I always thought he was sort of a phony. A guy who had that kind of cheap look. Newsman? Are u kidding? And the pirate idiocy will forever be ingrained in his resume. Good grief. And good riddance too. Apparently, I'm not the only person who didn't like Palombo. Off to DC --not exactly Toledo but whatever.

Perhaps those in the know think he will turn out to be the favorite newscaster of President Trump. You can't account for taste.

ReplyDeleteHe's going to be a DC bureau reporter for a Miami station...not exactly network. He never fit in with KTVU and his style was obnoxious. His stories were over produced with dramatic feel that didn't truly exist. Vets around the station are glad to see this era go.

No one was abused, insulted or injured in any way, and some people (me) find International Talk Like a Pirate Day, September 19th, to just be a bit of nonsensical fun. Among the many, many "human interest" (i.e., pointless) stories covered by TV news departments, Talk Like a Pirate Day is just harmless amusement that anyone can enjoy.
Except you, apparently.
Palombo is a massive headache in human form. The former ND at KTVU was his only promoter for a while, then even she soured on him after he became notorious for whining and bitching constantly. His contract wasn't likely to be renewed (especially with that ND gone) so he moved on rather than be told his services weren't needed anymore.
