  1. I'll monitor KGO like I monitor my drawers on a Sunday night after I eat a 10-pound steak.

  5. Randall Bloomquist has offered to shack up with any female employee at KGO who loses their job. Randall just wishes he was still around to cause their dismissal.

    1. Does that mean Drex and Chip are next? Randall hired Matheny who died but not before firing Winetraub, and then he hired Chip and Drex too but not before boinking Renee who is a crazy person. Then they both got fired but we got stuck with their mistakes. Cumulus!

  6. Michael Graham, golden boy for former Cumulus Concubine Seeking Con Man Randall Bloomquist, was fired from WYAY 106.7 Atlanta. Graham went nuts on the air, was pulled off two days before his scheduled to leave an asked not to come back.

Graham and Bloomquist have fallen off the ratings cliff togehter before, they must have had some sort of arrangement since no one else would hire the guy. Their collective failures make one wonder how either got hired in the first place.

  7. I have heard that the sales staff at Cumulus is so horrible and so ineffective that corporate has taken notice and is going to be taking the appropriate steps for improvement. Except for a few sellers at KNBR, I don't think many will last. Especially some of the overpaid "sales managers".

  8. If it wasn't for the Warriors and Giants success, there would be major cuts at KNBR. It's saved Raddy and Mr. T's ass.

  10. Cumulus sales dept. continues to pursue the idea that listeners are little more than crazed button pushers (pre-set buttons). So they sell the idea that if you scattershot lots of ads across lots of stations, you'll get noticed. The concept that people listen to radio stations they care about, and spend time listening, and might be annoyed by 27 repetitions of the same ad each day for months on end; that listener does not exist for these morons.

Also, the sales campaigns are crafted for the benefit of the sales person and Cumulus; as much money as fast as possible. Paying attention to, oh I don't know, crafting an ad campaign that might actually WORK for the advertiser; that concept seems above their pay grade or something. The only "results" they care about are how far along to filling their quota this month they are; nobody in that department can see more than 3 and one half weeks down the pike.

    1. He was almost there (KSFO)but his few hundred listeners raised hell and Cumulus kept him at KGO. How come they didn't listened when much more of us raised hell 4 years ago when they went to the all news format?

  12. I interviewed with Cumulus for a sales position @ KGO last year. In preparation for the gig, I spent a week calling on potential sponsors asking if they would consider buying ad time.
    Every
    Single
    Call
was answered with "are they still on the air?" followed by "no, we really don't want to invest in a risky ad campaign- they keep changing formats."
The "interview" took place in a Starbucks accross the street from the station, and the guy made me pay for his coffee. I paid- said "enjoy" and walked out.

  13. The CMLS LOSS per share compared to the VALUE per share is 7.5! This is worse than even Emmis, which was pretty bad. It's down the crapper time. Delisting is going to happen unless they can cobble a reverse split. If you're long on this company and haven't sold yet, I pray for you.

  14. Maybe they'll get rid of that jackass Pecan on Knibber... what a tool.
