TV, Radio, Internet...dishing dirt since 2001
KGO reminds me of one of my patented 10-pounders...sinks right to the bottom of the bowl.
Are there any other markets with an NPR station (KQED) rated as highly as here in the SF Bay Area? Are there any markets more liberal then SF Bay Area?
KPBS in San Diego is rated just as high on a regular basis. San Diego is conservative, but KPBS puts out a nice balanced product.
I love KPBS radio -- high quality local programming blended along with what the network provides. And KPBS-TV is just as good. San Diego, specifically central San Diego is actually quite progressive and liberal. It becomes more conservative in the northern part of the city, and other communities in the north county as well as communities in the eastern part of the county.
KSFO has numbers that are less than half that of KNBR. If the KSFO morning show is beating KNBR as you said last week, does that mean that the balance of the time KSFO is getting trounced?
Have people finally realized KNBR and all of its talking ass monkeys (including the Giants announcers) are nothing but noise? I hope so. It's been a long time coming. They're not high and mighty
Yeah, because the Baseball HoF elects talking ass monkeys like Jon Miller in all the time. Listen to baseball radio around the country and you'll see how good the Giants team is.
Look up on the Internet how the Giants team is rated, nationwide, and then come back to me. You'll see they're consistently rated top five.
Hey now, KGO is up a whole tenth of a point. I guess the big turn-around is happening...
However if just 13 dozen people stopped listening to KGO I'm estimating their rating for next time will be around 0.7 haha, lol.
The unending ads paired with mostly uninteresting hosts are catching up with KNBR
What is going on with the "talk show hosts" on KGO anyway? There have been a lot of absences lately, which includes Copeland and Langan only showing up maybe 50% of the time. These people are very poor hosts in the first place so you'd think KGO could at least find employees who want to be there and show up.
I know they fired one guy for going to HR over harassment!
KQED isn't in 2nd place. And maybe KNBR really benefited from the Warriors in June and they're just falling back to a more normal level.
KIOI big winner, shooting to #1 in 25-54. Higher than even last Christmas in the $ demo.
I'm thinking some of the drop in KNBR is due to the end of the Warriors Championship Season. Yes, World Champions!
