Today Is A Spare The Air Day

 SPARE ME

*Amy G: Truly one of the most worst, worst and getting worser

*Jan Wahl: The yenta needs a one-way ticket to Sacramento.

*Christine Craft: The female Pat Buchanan. (Did I hear you say you don't like Ben Netanyahu?)

*Stan Bunger: Bunger began having an inflated view of himself about five years ago. If KCBS was suddenly Stan-less, I wouldn't care. I don't think I'm alone.

*John Madden: Hey coach, you really have no sense of humor. I thought the Frank Caliendo rumor was just that. You really went out of your way to blackball him? That's kind of cold.

*Jana Katsuyama: Hey, Jana: Somerville, twice, asked you Monday night if the suspect lived in the Santa Cruz center where the little girl lived. You didn't answer until he asked you, again. Embarrassing.

*Vern Glenn: Oh, I see you doubled down. Bad tactic.

*Michael Krasny: Your esoteric simpletons make for a case of bad, boring, hemorrhoid radio even by boring KQED standards. Try getting someone on who doesn't talk British and think they're God and I'll listen.

*Leah Garchick: You'll never be the female Herb Caen--never. At this rate you're lucky if you become a girlie Stanton Deleplane.

*Susan Leigh Taylor: About time for one of your irritating drives in from Pacifica and "my windshield was pocked with drizzlies" ---zzzzzzzz.

*Every weather report today on TV/Radio: Yeah, it's gonna be hot unless your on the coast. Brilliant.

*Allen Martin: Allen, lighten up, seriously, the broads are getting nervous.

*Brian Flores: Where did KTVU get this guy? God, Fox.

*Mike Mibach: Good-looking guy with all the substance of wet scrambled eggs.

*Me: Even I can't stand myself every now and then--time to get a few cold ones and nail a hot broad.

Yeah Rich, you're going to "nail a hot broad". Is make-a-wish now open to middle-aged men?

  2. Have to disagree with you on Allen Martin; he's light and lively enough for me.

I do notice that he and Paul STILL won't talk to the Disneyland princess: She'll ask Paul a question and he'll answer Allen.

    1. By Damn! They did it again, tonight.

      Don't they read this blog?

  3. An entire post slamming person after person, yet when someone points out one of your faults, you block them on twitter and/or censor their comment. Your hypocrisy knows no limits.

  4. I remember on more than one occasion, C.C. would say disparaging things about John Rothmann behind his back, so don't listen to the old hag if she says otherwise.

  5. The only thing Jan Wahl is good for is ballast weight on the Goodyear Blimp. LardAss!!

  6. Rich, I think you meant to say that you are nailing a hot board to the roof of your house to keep the heat out. No problem for the correction. You are right about Brian Flores. Big Phony. Overly familiar with his colleagues, inexperienced and not very smart. This morning doing traffic he was godawful. He contributes absolutely nothing. He's from LA I do believe.

    1. I think what he meant to say is what he wrote. It's a guy thing, or didn't you know that?

  7. I am turning off KCBS lately due to the new dictate of Happy Talk! Yay! and all the personal touches. Especially Roberta Gonzales, who cannot do a simple weather report. She is definitely the heiress to the Jan Wahl, "Enought about the movies (weather) let's talk about MEEEEEEE....." Don't let the idiots get you down. Cheers, "Kate Smith" your Gmail pal

  8. Please, please, someone put Amy G. out of our misery . . .

  9. I know a lot don't care for the MO2 crew but at one time, Dave, Pan, Sal and Steve had a NATURAL chemistry and played off of each other well. This forced banter is killing it for me.Mr. Flores tries to do his part but it comes off as REALLY un-natural. The jokes no one gets, etc... Before it just worked. There was no need to mandate chit chat.. they come as fun loving colleagues ANYWAY

  10. Yep, those Amy G segments are still the lowlight of an otherwise great era for watching Giants baseball.

  11. What do you have against Jan Wahl? What I recall of her on movie reviews was a friendly person , a Hollywood insider, who seemed like everybody'd favorite Aunt.
It could be that she's a real harridan behind the scenes, that I don't know about.

  12. Dear Ned...for the record, John Rothmann is a friend and I'm proud to consider him such. You have never heard me say anything negative about him, ever. That makes you a liar, and beneath contempt. Tell us all, what specifically, did I say about John that was negative. Surely, you can create something? faster pussycat!

    1. Counselor, why would you take the bait and even thing of responding to a question that you know wouldn't be answered. Is your ego that frail? No one is on trial here, and can't be. By taking the bait as you did only shows your pathos and constant need to be the center of attraction. Let it go, Christine, there is nothing to prove here. You know better. You don't need the headline anymore.

  13. Amy G is terrible, no question (my wife, unprompted, once started mocking her and making comments after seeing her the first time). However, she is nowhere near as painful as Cammy Blackstone was...

    1. On the air and for no reason, Cammy got nasty with a fan during one game. Tact wasn't one of her strengths.

For that particular job, perhaps the Giants should hire someone who is not from Sonoma County!

  14. 7:15, It was alleged that I am a back stabbing hater, implicitly of all things Jewish, including my friend, John Rothmann. Just because I think Benjamin Netanyahu's wet dreams are not in the best interests of the United States, does not mean that I impute his genocidal character to all things Jewish. As it goes in the Grainger ads, "get it? got it? good !"

  15. 2:54, I have worked with Jan Wahl, and in real life she's just the way she seems on the air. She's warm, friendly, bright, funny, outgoing and a very nice lady. It makes me sad to read all the insults.

    1. I second that. I've known her for years and she's a fun, unconventional, opinionated lady. She might not be everyone's style but I don't understand the constant body shaming that seems to be the focus of most of Rich's wrath as well as other idiotic commenters. Given the state of your own body, why even comment?

Spare us. Obviously neither of you has seen the Tarantino interview.

    3. Yeah, Tarantino, now THERE'S a real friendly, down to earth person...

  16. Is it really necessary to belittle Amy G?
She gives silly little reports during sporting events. That's her job. Attacking her as if she's a threat to man kind seems unnecessary.

  17. 8:22AM Please do elaborate on the 'Tarantino interview. What can we learn about Jan Wahl from this most pivotal moment in media? What did you see, or what do you think you saw here? We're all waiting.
