Now if KNBR is REALLY serious, team Bruno with Radnich for THE ENTIRE 9-noon. That would kill whatever goes on over there at 957. As much as I like Dibs and he HAD to make that career move- not mad at him for that, 957 just ain't there yet.
DamonBruce Damon Bruce "CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATION" 1. How much does Beltran have left? 2. Make him an offer, or don't. 3. Worst contract, not based on $, performance?
Bruce was in a bad mood today..but I doubt he knew it. Well,I did post that when push came to shove..KNBR wouldnt push Raddy..and I was right. He's got the long term contract-too expensive too cut him. I think Radnich once said he had a ten year KNBR contract(a joke ?)...that they wouldnt eat obviously. Dan Dibley leaving was the direct cause of all this..who thought it would cost Damon Bruce his job?..the "Dibleyfly Effect"?-lol. By the way-I did call that Radnich might not come back to the same show when he went on vacation. Raddy's body language and tone of voice gave it away last a month ago when he talked of his vacation. the masked "S"

I agree with this post. I did agree with Damon about the profiling, but his patronizing attitude towards even the good callers and his shouting were too much.
What a bizzare few weeks. It was clear from the start that this wasn't going to work. Anybody remember when Rod Brooks was paired with Gary for nine months in 2001 on his old morning show? Gary gritted his teeth throughout that period. KNBR management f**ked this one up. You can't force two big egos together and expect it to work. Damon is talented but I think he needs to work in another market.
The problem with pairing Gary & Damon simply is (was) that it was bad radio. It was really uncomfortable listening to two guys talk over each other, fighting for airtime, especially when it was obvious to listeners that neither of them wanted to be there with the other. The fact that both are self-important egomaniacs in love with the sound of their own voice just makes it worse. Now, if Larry willingly accepts his place as Gary's "2nd banana" sidekick, the show might work out for a while.
Bruce is gone from Radnich's show? YIPPEEEEEEEE!! The guy is your prototypical screaming sports talk radio host. He is not suited to share air time with anyone.
and fitz carries on...where's the humanity?
ReplyDeleteD Bruce is gone completely from the KNBR website. Shows Gary and Larry (Krueger). INTERESTING ! Radnich threw a fit ?
ReplyDeleteHoly. Fucking. Shit.
ReplyDeleteThe old man pulled off a coup. Hahaha.
Good for Gary. I'm one of the lone few who still enjoy Gary. I like Damon at times, but mannnnn he was getting obnoxious

KNBR was thanking it's lucky stars that Bruce went off on that profiling rant because it gave them cause.
ReplyDeleteThe station still blows.

ReplyDeleteDamon tweeted he's back on KNBR 1050. Welcome back to radio Egypt...asshole!
ReplyDeleteGood! I like Gary when he's solo. Never like the know-it-all attitude from Bruce. Not at 9am anyway.

ReplyDeleteradnich's ratings are in the toilet, im amazed that he still has pull with the suits
he is old, and his act got tired years ago
should pair krug and bruce together
I'm glad. Damon Bruce is a pompous blowhard, I was going to write KNBR that I was going to stop listening.
ReplyDeleteA publicity stunt by Lee Hammer.
ReplyDeleteBruno will come back soon.
Bring Bruno back and give Dibbley a raise and co host him with Gary. Then I'll listen again.
ReplyDeleteYou fat piece of shit, quit censoring comments.
ReplyDeleteBruce is gone from Radnich's show? YIPPEEEEEEEE!!

So glad to enjoy Gary's show again.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know the obnoxious, patronizing person is gone!
Now, we can enjoy Gary once again!
Thanks KNBR for getting rid of Damon Bruce - I had stopped listening but this morning flipped over and low and behold no D-Bruce
ReplyDeleteI can't stand that ego maniac, self important blow hard ranting - who cares if he thinks he has good hair..............
Now if they only could fire him from 1050.
