Several sources told me Tony Bruno, the national sports-talk host, (just booted from KNBR), call Giants pitcher, Ramon Ramirez, (who was involved in last night's fight with the Phillies--he drilled Shane Victorino), as an "illegal alien."
He also, reportedly, said some less than flattering things about Giants' fans.
Bruno's nationally-syndicated show, "Into the Night" runs from 7-10 PM on KNBR 1050. His segment was recently booted last week as KNBR debuted a new Radnich-Bruce show.
Expect a lot of chatter around the ballpark Saturday.

Bruno: "I did remove my post and apologize for my comments regarding illegal aliens. I was angry and on the air and I stand behind my comments that Bruce Bochy is a coward, as are all managers who order pitchers to throw at guys just because their pitchers can’t get a guy out. Sounds to me like he was partly slamming KNBR as well as the Giants. Calling Ramirez an illegal alien is childish. Hey Tony maybe there was a good reason you're not telling us about as to why KNBR dumped your segment on Raddy's show.

ReplyDeleteI agree with 12:27. Bruno's ok in my book. If more people spoke out like he did, we might have some "change" in this country. One of the reason's California is broke and destitute is because of the unchecked illegals the past 30 years. It's not free to school them on my, my parents, and grandparents taxes (property and income) and it's not free to offer them free health care, college aid, etc. It's funny how anglo's are called racist at the first negative comment towards Hispanics or Asians but on the flip side, in their own language, they rip us left and right. People calling him racist are most likely of a Hispanic or Asian heritage.
