La Bruno affair.
The good news? It's the weekend and news travels slow on a Saturday.
The bad news? We're in the Internet world and when you say things you probably regret the minute after you say them, they go viral, like Tony Bruno and certain ad homonym attacks on SF Giants players and fans.
Every site is now in on this, including Deadspin, (thanks for the link, guys); should this linger Monday? Problem time for Bruno.

Bruno has the balls to say what the majority of American's feel. The naysayers are most likely Hispanic or Asians who rip everyone else in their own language.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of a racist statement is that? You obviously don't have much sensitivity to racial issues do you? Remember this is 2011, not
ReplyDelete1861. Dig it you honky!
Bruno should get a promotion for taking on the pansy Giants and their fans. Miss him on KNBR. Radnich is lost without him. Maybe both of them can redo their show on 95.7 fm.
ReplyDeleteHey 2:18 I'm married to a Hispanic. I guess my calling you an ignorant jackass must make me an illegal alien! LOL
ReplyDeleteugh!!!! another bigot!!! this site is crawling with these a-holes today or is it just one ...hmmmmm does every blog come with a bigot attached? sad to think that way. 2:18 i read u loud and clear you P.O.S
ReplyDeleteplease get educated.
218= Lee Hammer.
ReplyDeleteWould Radnich still call him "the fabulous Tony Bruno?" No, because management has ordered him to keep quiet on Bruno's dismissal from KNBR.
ReplyDeleteAll those years of praising Tony followed by silence.
And Gary expects us to believe that he agreed to sharing his show with Damon? The man needs his job, regardless of his boasting how much money he has made, and will do what he is told.
I felt bad as soon as I typed it.
ReplyDelete@3:43 I don't know about "pansy" Giants. I agree tho Bruno and Radnich had a decent half hour. Was always fun. I really hope nothing bad comes of this. We all make mistakes. And we're all allowed to say what we feel. Free speech.
ReplyDeleteWhat 2:18 wrote is not that far off.
ReplyDeleteJust a few zingers at T. Bruno's fb page......
ReplyDelete-Tony, If you lose your last job you should go watch the border so we can all feel safe.
-I hope u burn in hell you racist bastard. You are a disgrace to Philadelphia sports
-You are an ugly, bald, stupid, gutless, bigoted coward. You know nothing. Why would Ramirez throw at the cryin' Hawaiian? Aw, did the Giants whoop your pathetic Phils last year? (And last week). Deal with it
-Arizona and Sheriff Joe Arpaio support Tony Bruno.
-You belong on FOX along with ALL of the other racist bigots...
Maybe next time you shouldn't drink wine on set while live on the air. Just a thought.
He did it AGAIN. Bruno responds with hate to fb fan only to remove his comments and later the fans comment. Derek Wizzle had called Bruno out about a problem 8 years ago when he made fun od chinese people. His first response to derek
ReplyDelete"get some facts Derek. I never offended Asians. All I did was NOT label Shaquille O Neal a "racist" when other PC talking heads were quick to call him a racist when he made a dumb fake Chinese accent in regards to Yao Ming coming into the league many years ago. Some bogus blogger wrote a fraudulent blog to the Chinese community. I brought him on the air for a debate on his "facts" and he cowered like the publicity seeking fraud he turned out to be. You need a listen on facts Mr Wizzle. You seem to be a guy who likes the victim card, not me."
Derek followed up w/ Bruno did you not laugh and play the shaq clip over and over? Bruno then went on a tear telling Derek he was a writer who worked for a paper that was free and how he 'and wouldn't ever make it in the biz. Within a minute, ALL was gone. I was able to save the one response. This guy is a Quack.
Research and bury this clown.
Brunos second rant continued......
ReplyDelete"Derek Wizzle talks tough for a young dude with zero cred other than writing for a paper given away for free - which no one reads".
I set em up....you knock em down
If it weren't for the good point 4:37 made, I would say to Bruno "Goodbye, Career!" Then again, this World Wide Web is so vast he would find something anyway, even in our bad economy.
ReplyDeleteHere is what Bruno said
ReplyDelete" Derek talks tough for a young dude with zero cred other than writing for a paper given away for free - which no one reads. You'll never get a real job in this industry by posting negative nonsense about someone you don't know who actually is respected by most in the biz"
Respect? Lol
Now Tony, who's playing the victim card?
ReplyDeleteMuch respect to Bruno, he has something rare, big balls and the moxie to back it up. Screw the Giants and Comcast.
ReplyDeleteTO all you Bruno-lovers, riddle me this:
ReplyDeleteLet's say Hiroki Kuroda or Daisuke Matsuzaka throw no-hitters.
What if, during the postgame interviews, someone asks them:
"Hey Hiroki (or Daisuke): What was it like? How did it feel?"...and they reply, "It was TOO easy--I felt like a Japanese bomber or torpedo pilot did when we destroyed those sleepy, lazy Americans at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941!"
Would you defend them for just saying how they felt and having the free-speech right to say it?
9:19 that is perhaps the lamest analogy I've ever witnessed. WTF, you attempt to war the two slurs as equal. Shows how fucked up you are. Are you illegal or something? BTW I don't give a shit about Bruno, I am tired of the over-sensitive nature of Hispanics/Mexicans/Latinos. Fuck em
