An avalanche of Bonds Trial coverage local and national; Monday pulse

So, you want Barry Bonds perjury trial coverage? You're in heaven then. Or maybe not. Or you don't care. Well...

You're going to get bombarded with it. About 756 live shots from the federal courthouse just this morning alone, (756, wink, wink)

Truth is, whether you give a damn or not, whether you think baseball should be refered to as basebore, Bonds and his legal business is topic A not just here, but nationally too.

The usual local outlets will have staffers en mass, along with several national newsies, like CNN, Fox Sports, SI, ESPN, (legal guru, Lester Munson); I'm told Bryant Gumbel's HBO staff is floating the idea of doing a live segment of "Real Sports"; ditto ESPN's "The Sports Reporters."

The big question: will Bonds take the stand? Probably not, but if he does, that should portend for an avalanche of material later in the trial. Can't wait for the potential spin and analysis.

  2. Rich, with all due Respect...There is another Huge Sport Story that is happening in the Bay Area today, that you haven't touched.

The Mayor, and City Council of Santa Clara, this very day, March 21st, are getting ready to GIVE the Millionaire York Family (owners of the 49ers) Taxpayer Redevelopment Money, because Governor Brown wants to Redirect that money for Schools.

This action by the City Council of Santa Clara Boarders on them looking like Pawns for the 49ers, which they are. It has become obviously clear, that the local government of Santa Clara doesn't give a Rats Ass about the common citizen they were elected to represent...This Council feels that it is their Sole Responsibility to do the bidding of the 49ers/York Family.

The York Ownership of the 49ers is Not very well liked by the Fans in the Bay Area. I guarantee you, if the 49ers are awarded this Redevelopment Money Tonight...Their Likability will only plunge further with the FANS in the San Francisco Bay Area.
