Major accident near KRON lost in shuffle

From a reader:

There was a MUNI bus accident at Van Ness and O'Farrell this morning, right outside of the KRON 4 studios. It look over 30 minutes for the station to report on this accident, which shut down northbound Van Ness (H 101). When the station did finally get it on the air it was a phone call with one blurry camera still photo. The station is so bad it can not even cover breaking news right in front of its doors.

I live in the lofts in the Marquee/AMC theater. I heard the accident and was watching TV and turned on KRON 4 to see what it would do. What a joke.

  2. Now now... management and sales were just taking time to figure how to attach an infomercial to it.

On a serious note... As a kid I watched Mac, Tokuda,Bartlett, and Walker and if I was not in bet, Richmond and Corral NOTHING else... then I started flipping to KRON 'cause they had two fine sista's in Janice Hough and Pam Moore (I was a teen don't laugh)... during the Oakland Hills fire, the KRON coverage was SOOO good that I started watching KRON more and more...in the late 90's they had this funny, smart, witty dude named Wilson anchoring the news and He along with Moore, Raleigh and Radnich was THE best news cast going (outside of Richmond and co. of course)... Since the affiliate loss, KRON has gotten worse and worse, I try to watch now because I like Radnich ( yeah yeah so what) and Moore but I can't... THE worst "newscast" ever... there's a few folks there worthy of Bay Area News (Moore, Radnich, Glen, Heenan,- None of the reporters- except Kerman)... just a mess...

BTW... Why is Pam Moore no longer on the website ?

  3. Once they figured out there was an accident right outside their front door it did not get any better. 30 minutes after the MUNI bus was towed away and Van Ness was open it was still reporting northbound Van Ness was closed and there was a detour. All they had to do was look out their windows to get a more accurate update. Nope.
