what had me laughing the most was this line from Mr. Cohn's column - The Press Democrat is owned by the New York Times, and newspapers in the Times family strive for the highest ethical standards. - Wow, anyone who has read about the NY Times and their " ethical standards" over the last couple of years is also having a good laugh now!
I thought the criticism a bit harsh. Her comment about what was happening on the field with the shoes was legit reporting, not a critique of Nike products. So, there was no need to reveal her pending deal with Reebok, even assuming she was in active negotiations with them at the time. If I were ESPN management, I would not allow reporters to endorse products. But they do allow it. The ethical questions pertain to ESPN's policy, not to her acting within that policy. So, I respectfully disagree with your comments. But, thank you, thank you, thank you for posting that picture. JW
Although I believe Cohen’s criticism is valid, I wonder how much of his outrage is real. I’m sure if we dig around and look closely at all the reporters in sports and which products they use or endorse and who is friends with whom etc. we’d find plenty of conflicts of interest (at the very least the appearance of it). And although we may disagree about Cohen’s point of view surely we can all agree that’s one healthy set of cans. Great picture choice Rich.
Leave Erin alone. Just because she is pretty doesn't give a reporter/newscaster license to solicit name-calling. What if it were a man who was hot-looking? Would it be okay to call him something derogatory because of his looks?
I have a bigger problem about her being on Dancing With the Stars when employed by ESPN. ABC and ESPN are both OWNED by Disney....total conflict of interest!!!
Why the Hateraid? because she is hot?

ReplyDelete...Nice wrist watch and micriphone...along with camera angle.
ReplyDeleteIs this the reporter who some guy violated by bugging her room....while she was dis-robed?

ReplyDeleteThat chick is so overrated...just because you defender her doesn't mean she'll sleep with you.
ReplyDeleteIf she wasn't hot she'd be a no talent nobody.
Disgusting comment, sir. You are way over the line!
ReplyDeleteShall we now start calling you a pimp?

ReplyDeleteShe has no credibility anyway...
"Whore" is a very poor choice of word, Rich. Try something appropriate.
ReplyDeletewho cares...she's hot and i like her...that's all that matters... :)
