Lee Rodgers is alive and well, but says that he had a dance with death, several times in fact, but is back and at home enjoying life with his wife Susan and pontificating about various issues.
I must say that while I found Rodgers frequent political rants dangerous and extreme, downright angry and nasty too, I enjoyed his work on KSFO both as a broadcaster and thorough professional. He was a certified pain in the ass, but so am I, (Rodgers problem was that he was making too much money and his anti-Muslim venom was way over the top for Citadel, KSFO's and KGO's corporate owner) He was subsequently let go in February, 2010. (Rodgers got about $237,000 in severance from Citadel.)

Rich, you have acheieved the difficult balance of admiring someone professionally when you dislike some of his expressed views. Perhaps it was this combination of attributes that made him valuable back in the days of easier money.
ReplyDeleteOh,yeah,the guy who's a dog eat dog capitalist. Until he lost his job and wanted all the socialist programs to help him,like severance pay and medical care not all out of pocket. He's entitled I bet he would argue!
